So long story short I bought a set of used Apex N1 Pro coilovers a few weeks back and have only just got round to fitting them (as the turbos were off the car). I fitted them a few nights ago and unfortunately after getting to the bottom of my street it became clear that one of the rears appears to be completely knackered!
It feels like there\'s no damping at all and it clunks, banks and bounces violently over anything remotely uneven. I\'ve tried adjusting the damping to full hard and 12 clicks from hard and there\'s no difference. to be honest its way outside of anything within a normal adjustment range anyway so pretty sure its knackered! The other three appear fine though.
They\'re mono-tubes I believe so would assume the nitrogen charge on the opposing side of the piston has escaped or similar, having said that it was set pretty low so maybe it\'s more serious. Either way I\'m now 350quid into a set of coilovers I can\'t really use so could do with some help!
I reckon it\'ll need a rebuild which means I should probably have both rears done so they\'re the same. There doesn\'t appear to be any UK based Apexi contacts so do any of you have any ideas or know of any UK based companies that refurb damping units?

Are the coilovers jap or euro? I only ask as japanese coilovers are different to european coilovers, so if they are jap they need to be sent back to japan to be rebuilt.
I can only suggest the companys that make there own shocks over here like AVO or Gaz suspension as they should be able to re-gas these units

AST Suspension are sorting me out, 60odd quid per unit to rebuild plus any unusual parts they need (normal seals included). They have been EXCELLENT so far.
The only part they can\'t get was the 12mm shaft seal. I made a quick call to Apexi USA and spoke to Chuck who does the rebuilding and revalving in the states who has priced them at $6 something plus tax each. Another REALLY nice and REALLY helpful guy.
A luck would have it he lives in Pasadena (where my wife is) so said he would drop them off at my apartment for me :)
I\'m getting her to send me over some plugs (7\'s and 9\'s), some leads, and some spider gears for the bug so she can drop these in the package too.
He also said he could package up a complete rebuild kit if I wanted as they do them all the time...
Hopefully that will help anyone in a similar predicament in the future (AST and Apexi-USA).
