Post by: rust on September 29, 2012, 01:00:09 AM
Alright guys kinda need some help...

Just taken the car to tesco and on the way there the coolant buzzer has came on but I looked and there is coolant in the over flow tank and in the non pressure filter neck and the AST has full coolant...

Any ideas?

Could it be my thermostat stuck closed ?

Sounds like you\'ve just got a faulty sensor, you could do one of 3 things.....
Replace the sensor (i\'ve got one there if needed)
Earth the back wire coming out of the sensor.
Wear earplugs at all times :chat

Could also be air trapped in the system mate. I had the same problem, bled the system and was fine :)

Mine had an air lock, mine had a tiny water leak where the heater pipes joined the block so there was a small pocket of air exactly where the low coolent sensor was lol I think its also linked to the low oil as well, if thats not earthed correctly then that will go off as well - its not just the coolent thats linked to the \'OMG stop its about to explode\' alarm
