Title: My rx7 turbo ii convertible finally finished
Post by: grimms on September 20, 2012, 09:55:37 PM
Hi guys

Not given much input to forums over last few months as been way too busy fully restoring my 1990 rx7 turbo ii convertible and here it is full body work restore all the way back to bare metal including the underside and fully redone nothing missed all suspension and braking fully refurbished and brand new Haartz stayfast canvas roof And custom enkei rims which suit to car perfectly. took around 16 weeks to fully compete and a lot of pain during the entire procedure.
All worth it in the end to see it looking like this time to enjoy it now

Thanks for the comments guys I\'m glad it\'s all together always a shame to see these cars broken for parts this one was perfect underneath no rot at all as it was stored in a garage for the last 14 years.
As for the roof it was from a company called accelerated supply and by time customs is was just over £400 and took 2 days to fit myself looks amazing ill post a couple of pictures just of the roof tomoz.
And yes I need to find a front spoiler as the one on the car was wrecked

its very nice :D

Im dead jealous ;)

And yes Dave .. eyes like a hawk

The main reason i spotted it , when mine was re-painted i think they left the trim on around the car , and the paint is cracking around it :(

Just a got a few niggly bits to deal with to get it finished and gotta try and find 2 of the triangle pieces for the interior that cover the screws for removing the wing mirrors as mine were missing if anyone knows of any.

Sorry being a little out of topic but shall we have a roof group buy soon ?
As I believe many are rebuilding/restoring their ride during the winter for next summer?
