Will be looking to put new tyres over the winter and have looked at a multitude of different manufacturers,
Bridgestone RE50A\'s are approx £227 a corner
Vredstien Ultrac Sessanta get a good write up and are approx £164 a corner
Falken FK452\'s seem to be very good all rounder at £147

But I have come across a tyre that I have always liked and am considering..the Advan Neova AD08..Only trouble is I can only find 235/40/19. Will the slightly lower profile throw off the ride and add to an already pretty harsh ride. Or is this tyre worth considering. It is by no means the cheapest at £215 per corner but is a very high performance tyre from Yokohama, and very aggressive looking

Thoughts and inputs appreciated
The AD08 is close to being a semi-slick. It\'ll be grippy as hell in the dry.
what about the 40/35 business, will it throw my speedo out or give me a gappy wheel arch?
It\'ll throw the speedo slightly and give you a gappy arch. Also the load rating on the 35 profile is too low for the RX8.
Unless you\'re going on trackdays I\'d go for the Falkens.
Thanks Will, appreciate that. I do like the Falken\'s and I think they can hold up for a couple of track days next year!
check out "dunlop direzza sport z1" http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dunlop+direzza+sport+z1&hl=en&rlz=1R2TSEH_enGB459&biw=1366&bih=641&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=S8JgUKaiKeGm0QX52IGoBQ&ved=0CB4QsAQ now these are a quality performance tyre
The AD08s are like a track tyre - they certainly seemed to work and grip well for a competitor at a recent Autosolo (making him 1-2 seconds per circuit quicker than me)... Albeit S1 RX8 on 18s... Not sure what they would be like in the wet / winter / cold weather though!
(And they\'re not on the MSA 1B list either!)
I still swear by Vredestein Sessantas on my R3.
Have AD08\'s on the front of my 7, fantastic tyre really grippy even in wet, they dont like standing water and they are sensitive to cold temps for winter.
Ill be replacing my Eagle F1s on the rear for AD08s
