Post by: JayD on September 17, 2012, 01:54:55 AM
Hi guys

I\'m looking at removing this to uncomplicate my FD\'s coolant setup

Have any of you guys done this without any ill effects?

Cheers

Its been done without problem but not sure why you would bother (unless your ltd to space), its not really complicated so long as your ast is all in good working order, keep it :)

The main reason is because I\'m going vmount and would have to relocate it and for what it\'s worth I\'m better off removing it and adding more space. More space more cooling

I guess my only concern is that I don\'t want to create any strain on the current setup as it works fine.

Did you use the gen 2 filler neck and delete?

I think thats the most common method, i am running a vmount but just repositioned it! More space more cooling, a little ast probably isnt even noticeable with regard to that!
