hi guys, my fc refused to develop a bit of boost no matter how hard I hit the gas pedal.no lumpy idle or any funny noise. opened bonnet and check for boost leak etc but everything seems fine. previous owner did replace old hose with silicone\'s and has recruit BOV.
has anyone ever experienced such issue?
What boost gauge are you using? Is it producing anything at all?
What\'s the idle like?
hi i have not got any aftermarket boost gauge but the stock one\'s on the cluster. it never go beyond the 0 mark on the cluster\'s boost gauge.
I currently have exactly the same problem, I believe it to be a problem with the wastegate or actuator...
I\'m hoping to be looking at it in a couple of weeks when I have a bit of time to work on it (dependant on weather and gaskets arriving)
Worth noting that the stock boost gauge is know to lie. A lot. Or just break without provocation. Get an aftermarket gauge on their - doesn\'t need to be anything fancy, and get an idea of exactly what is happening, even vacuum etc.
If it is the wastegate then its quite likely the retaining pin has dropped out of the actuator arm at one end.
:wave
Thankfully on mine I have an aftermarket mechanical gauge rigged up as well and it\'s showing the same information as the stock one... But my actuator arm IS still attached (I\'ve checked more than once)
It could be a boost leak from somewhere, if someone has rooted the vacuum piping incorrectly, you might have a BOV or recirc opening under boost.
I wonder is theres something doesnt look right here?

that bov doesnt look right
im sure on mine a pipe went off at 9 o\'clock to a bit on the block under the BAC ??
see in the pic , you have a blue pipe coming downwards ( 6 o\'clock ) , if you rotate it to 9 , does it look like it does somewhere ( although i have a after market bov on mine )
i could be wrong , and its too dark to take a piccy :(
