Post by: L18M on September 02, 2012, 08:03:01 PM
Whats a good hose to use? (other answers than an undamaged hose would be good lol)

I\'m thinking braided rubber hose. needs AN12 size (18mm ish ID)
and wheres the best place to buy, only need about 35cm.
Thanks

I used a T4 oil drain flange - fits perfectly on the Hitachi CHRA, but use the stock gasket - most of the flanges on ebay come with rubbish gaskets.  I also used some alan head bolts, as they are easier to get to at an angle with a ball driver.  The T4 flange was a one piece to AN10 - and then as has been said already - use a good make of AN10 for these.  I ended up using a 60 degee AN10 fitting which cleared the larger compressor housing I had and still had a downwards flow all the way to the front housing.  I had no leaks with that setup, but I had a flange that convered to npt and then an npt to an10 adaptor and that leaked.

thanks for the reply guys. the tub has an oil exit so will just clip a 3/4" hose to that and theres a simple flange with tube / hose on engine side wil just a simple hole clipped on will suffice for now to keep things simple.

ended up getting some marine fuel hose off ebay -40 to 100 degrees temp range

will be careful with length and make sure the tube dowsnt dip lower than the flange at engine side.
