Reaches 80mph over the 1/4 mile. Aparently they\'re building one with a bigger turbo!! A hx80 which I believe is a holsets truck turbo

The issue with those sort of jets is that they need quite a long run up to get going, my SV650 powered drag kart will be geared to do 40 in 1st gear, ive geared mine to be the same as the bike the engine came from, will be interesting to see what mine does when I finish it :) btw the turbo fireblade drag kart runs low 9s

I think your missing the point of this cart. It has a turbo, igniter and kerosene. Very very simple. It\'s a jet engine, me my dad and a friend are wanting to build a pulse jet and stick it on a cart. A go cart bike engine is going to accelerate faster as it has traction and a drivetrain, the jet just has thrust!

Typically jets work better when they get a bit of air flowing into them.  Often they can\'t make maximum power when stationary.

You don\'t always need jets to go fast :D

I did see this, but didn\'t hear it running.

With a bigger turbo it should pull a blistering top end :)

best kart engine has to be the AIXRO XR50 i nearly bought one of these and i was going to race but there not cheap. just as fast (if not faster) as the gearbox karts but with just the single drive:eek.
