A very good morning to all,
My Rx-7 has sadly failed its MOT this morning due to a poor emissions test; does anyone out there have any hints, tips, ideas, cheats or fixes to lower the emissions?
The car is a 1994 registered RX-7 FD3S.
I should also point out that my engine knowledge is quite, quite pitiful, so a quick Janet and John guide would be appreciated if it involves sensors and the like.
Thanks to all for checking out my post and have a great bank holiday weekend.

It helps to have an \'understanding\' mot station
Where are you located
I\'m assuming it\'s failed on a non cat test. With a apexi just turn it down if on a stock ECU its equally easy.
Run the tank dry to the point of just enough to get to the MOT station and test it. Dope the tank then with either E85 if a local garage sells it or Methanol. It depends how far out on emission\'s the car was and the car itself but a couple of litres should suffice
..................DO NOT RUN THE CAR IN BOOST WHILE DOPED.....................................
after the test fill up the tank asap.
I\'m in Northamptonshire, don\'t know if that\'s a good or a bad thing. :)
Unfortunately I keep the car topped up on petrol and prices being as high as they are, don\'t really want to drain it dry before the retest if it can be helped. I do have the Apexi FC Commander; I\'m guessing this may be the answer to my problems, judging by your post. *He says hopefully*.
right if your car is an import the emissions limits are co 3.5 and hc is 1200ppm, if your local garage arent in the habit of testing imports they wont know the actual limits ;)
What emissions did it get so we can see how \'bad\' the emissions are
