Title: London Marathon
Post by: tsh on April 15, 2003, 01:23:02 PM
My excuse for not being at Brooklands! I guess the weather must have been great for the rest of you, but it was a bit hot for running in.

I was hoping for a time of just over 4 hours, and the first half went almost to plan at 2:12:15  - then it all started to go to pieces and every mile got slower - despite all the encouragement from the crowds. Stopped pretending to run at about 22 1/2 miles, and finally crossed the finish line at 5:10:02.

At least I wasn\'t passed by too many people in fancy dress, and I\'ve got an easy target to beat next time if I put a bit more training in.

Clive - you owe Cancer Research £50. They take credit cards at http://www.cancerresearchuk.org
