Title: Tein HA coilovers questions / manual
Post by: anthony on August 13, 2012, 10:21:43 PM
Has anyone got the english manual for this ?

Or can anyone suggest the best ride height for this and damp setting ?

The front of mine is far too low and I think the stiffness is set to the max, so was going to take it up a bit heigh wise so I can stop the wheels from catching at the front and go over the speed bumps :) Then drop the damping to like 7-8 clicks from soft?

But wondered if there is any preferred settings for road use i.e from the manual :)

I\'ll take the wheels off tomorrow, but presume you just rotate one of the collars to raise it up or down

thanks in advance

Hi michael, im not removing them just raising them a bit and softening them up a bit.
The ha\'s only have 16 clicks. Ill back them off 5-6 and test

i must not have HA tehn lol, i have 22 :)

Edit: just read with the 22 clicks 6 are unused from the soft setting, bit strange if true, so click all the way to the hard setting (clockwise) and then 16 to soft ( anticlockwise) is the range, passed that they do nothing, dont go softer etc...

A bit of confused, also read "All HA\'s have 22 clicks on the shocks BUT only 16 way adjustable. Starting from softest you can stiffen 16 clicks. After that they do not get any stiffer. The extra clicks/settings are there so that when you rebuild the shocks you can set some intermediate settings to your specifications. Say fopr example you want an 8.5 and a 10.5 you can specify that to Tein at time of rebuild and they will make it that way."

16 from soft if the hardest setting....
