Title: Oil temp help
Post by: Sarah_Casper on August 05, 2012, 06:28:50 PM
I have an rx7 1995 model, with a oil temp gauge wired into sandwich plate on the filter housing. Normally reading between 70 to 80. Went on a little drive about today very steady drive about got back to near home and noticed it had gone to about 86. Left the car running on the drive to let her cool down the the temp went up to 98 witch I then shut the car down. What is the normal temp.? Got quite worried as only had it a week

That\'s fine,    Don\'t leave it running to cool down , it will heat up,
Gentle drive for the last mile home , pull up. Shut off.
