My baby is up for sale. 10 years of rotary ownership and it has to come to an end.
I\'m not in a rush to sell though (I\'d like a C3, but have this to keep me happy until! Yes, a desire to move to the dark side of V8s...).
In my eyes, one of the tidiest RX7s around, and it\'s certainly an eye opening difference when compared to the more common stripped out power houses!
Rebuilt 2 months ago, mapped by Blitzboy since, hardly done any miles after (a run up the M1 to move house from Aldershot to Yorkshire is all!).
And no, I don\'t want a BMW in exchange.. Corvette C3 convertible pre 1973 (with the chrome bumpers) and I\'m interested mind :)

Mazda RX7
My pride and joy for 10 years and I have simply just run out of space having moved up north.
Many modifications, but mainly in the interest of reliability/safety.
Fresh rebuild (May 2012), run in and then subsequently mapped (mapping by "Blitzboy").
MOT and Tax to March 2013.
Full, one off, leather interior including panel trimming as well as usual seats. Cost a packet but I wanted the car to be more a luxury sports than a race type layout (hence boost controller hidden away etc so not to have hundreds of aftermarket dials!).
Spec includes..
Engine:
Engine rebuild this May/June (2012). Rebuild required due to mechanic error when installing turbos rather than engine failure!
Engine mapping this June (by known RX7 mapper Blitzboy)

New Fuel Pressure Regulator
New leading coil
Extended street porting (intake & exhaust)
Permanent non-sequential conversion including porting of manifold
Inlet manifold porting/port matching

Brand new GReddy front mount intercooler system (installed this April)

Brand new uprated radiator (installed this April)

DM Motorsport sump brace
HKS Twinspark

HKS turbo back exhaust system (downpipe, mid pipe and tail pipe)
Direct feed to coil and ignitor safety modification

B&M type short shift
Polished caps
Underdrive pulley
Air pump removal
Filler neck modification to remove AST (common cooling system fail point)
Apexi PFC with commander
ABS
Central Locking with 4 keys (originals + copies)
Thatcham Category 1 alarm/imobiliser (with installation certificate) with 2 alarm fobs
Power steering
Electric windows
Exterior:
Rare CWest bodykit
Fold away number plate
Clear front indicator lenses
HID upgrade, with crystal lens upgrade
Despoilered
Full respray 5 years ago
Veilside hand polished Andrew Racing alloys, with Michelin Pilot\'s on front/Nankang\'s on rear
Bilstein shocks (yellow) with Tein springs
Goodrich brake hoses
Tinted side + rear windows
Clear side repeaters
Interior:
Full black leather retrim (seats, dash, door cards, instrument console, side/boot panels, rear storage bins etc etc)
Rear storage bins (rather than usual rear seats)
Rear strut brace (leather covered)
6x9 speakers installed in parcel shelf
Huge amplifier powering speakers, hidden in space saver wheel well
Touch screen DVD/MP3/Sat Nav/Bluetooth stereo system
RMagic commander holder (leather covered also)
Original toolkit + jack etc
Other:
I\'ll also throw in the following..
Spare, unmolested parcel shelf (incase you want to remove the 6x9s and go back to standard placement speakers)
Aquamist water injection system (was installed on the car until the front mount went in this year. Just hadn\'t got round to reinstalling)
Air conditioning rad/evaporator/etc (again, removed this year for front mount install but all components kept incase refit required)
Apexi twin air intake (again, removed for FMIC install but could be fitted back)
Spare differential (one on car is ok, but have a spare from a breaker just incase!)
Rear "crystal" lights (common rear light replacement but just looks "chavvy" in my eyes so went back to standard)
4 original RX7 wheels (with tyres - believe still legal) for those who want wheels for drag/drift etc
Original space saver (bald, but it\'s there if wanted to be put back)
Electro-lumecent dial kit (to convert the dials to white sport dials)
Exhaust bung for those moments when you feel a need for quieter times!
Set of NGK 10s spark plugs (currently running on 9s all round but have a set of 10s for if you feel the need to crank the boost up!)
Bad Points:
There had to be some...
Paint job is showing it\'s age. For at/very near asking price I will have the car clayed/waxed/machine polished to have it looking it\'s best. Note, there is some cracking of the paint directly above the exhaust due to the odd flames..
Rear tyres are an MOT failure. Again, will replace for at/very near asking price
4 wheel alignment needs doing (camber/toe adjustment). Will again have this done for at/very near asking price
Otherwise, it\'s a classic car (so say the insurance company so it\'s £230 per annum insurance!), and is registered (correctly in my eyes) as a 1.3 with the DVLA so £115pa car tax.
For those into "power", this car has been mapped before the engine upgrades this year to just over 400bhp on the Austec Racing dyno. It was reeled in due to ignition issues (hence new coil pack and rewire) to 365bhp. The latest mapping on the new rebuild has not been dyno\'d so have no idea on the power. It was mapped to 1.2bar, but is restricted by the HKS EVC to 0.8 bar for road use.
Any questions, I\'m happy to answer. I\'m sure there\'s much more to this car I\'ve forgotten to list! I have stacks of paperwork, including all import documentation from 2002.

Who are you insured with. Cant get under 980. Clean license 10 years. 28. 3000 miles as a second car
Try Peter Best.... i got a REALLY good quote off them as a classic and a 2nd car (not this one granted, but was a modded single turbo all declared) allowing 5,000 miles a year.
I\'m 35, no points one accident, parked on driveway in a crap area for car crime - and it came out around £430
Yep, with Peter Best. All mods declared, plus garaged.
Can\'t beat them for RX7s I don\'t think, but has to be a second car, usually limited mileage, and owner over 30 I think (although used to be 25)..
sorry to pollute the thread ( i have posts in the general 3rd gen and insurance )
70r8 - I got told by peter best that I need to be over 30. This was as a second car too, garaged, driving 10 years etc . ah well
But i got a quote off them 2 years ago for about 550 , ho hum :)
I think someone up there is trying to pull me away from getting another FD again.
