Title: turbo info
Post by: billybobbooth on July 19, 2012, 08:26:50 PM
Can anyone tell me what is the next size up bearing housing wise from a s5 stock turbo. I\'m trying to find out what turbo it is. As I can\'t send it off till I know.
All I know is the exhaust side is stock the bearing casing is the next size up and the compressor side only just fits with the stock setup 1/4 of a mill gap.
Have been told I can get a rough price for the rebuild if I can find out the bearing housing size. All I know is its bigger. And makes .5-.8 bar at 2000rpm got told it was good for 380bhp. Its also has a hks actuator on it.

Forgot to say the compressor wheel is 65mm at the smallest end and the housing on the compressor air filter side is 70mm at its largest.
Going to fit my stock turbo so I can take it to someone who may know as not sure if it\'s the turbo or exhaust that makes it smoke as it didn\'t before but I changed both at the same time.
Exhaust came off a car with blown tip. Turbo was unknown from Japan along with the ecu but the ecu won\'t even start the car gives out fuel but far to much or dosnt send a spark one of the 2

Get some photos up, its usually a compressor housing from a T04B or T04E, mine has a HKS actuator on it and its standard :)
