Hi Guy\'s I am finally back to the rotary scene and have a new project underway.. I just couldn\'t stay away!
Thought some of you might be interested to see it progress very slowly! I will try and post some pics and details here from time to time but I am struggling to find time to keep the webpage updated at present. So the build can be found here:
http://rspowerprojects.wordpress.com/projects/rx7-fd3-triple-rotor/
Or you can just go to the homepage //www.rspowerprojects.co.uk and navigate from there.
I am trying to update weekly or certainly every fortnight at least. Depending on how much progress I make!
Please post any questions or comments here and I will reply.
Hope you guys enjoy the build and with any luck I will actually manage to complete it!
Cheers
Lee
Excellent, another 3 rotor FD! :).... can only be a good thing, njoy and look forward to seeing this progress :)
Nice write up so far. Look forward to seeing how this progresses.
There are a couple of guys on here with 3 rotor FDs and i\'m sure they\'d be gald to give you advice on bits and bobs
Adam
Just in case people are not subscribed I thought I would let you know I have added more pics and progress onto my website..
I have been busy generally so not done as much as I would have liked to but also not had time to get on with the updates!
Great build so far.... Giving me future ideas!!
wowwwww so great mate :)
Just to let you guy\'s know if anyone is interested i have been making a bit more progress on the triple rotor conversion! Please visit the web link above to check it out.
Cheers
Lee
Sorry, missed this first time round, this really has to be one of the best documented web sites out there on a tripple conversion, I look forward to some real sized pictures on here as your excellent work continues :Thumbsup!
Hi Clive,
Thanks.. I will get some choice pics on here eventually when I am a bit further on. If you just want to see more details I think you can click on the pictures and it opens them up full size?
Maybe I should be leaving a bit more to the imagination!?!
Bir confused Leeroy on your turbo exhaust manifold design, it does not show pipes to go to an external wastegate, will you incorporate this after?
How did you mnage to make the big bend towards the turbo flange to be more \'rectangular\'?
Hi Guy\'s..
Good spot Blitz boy.. It will be going on later though. Probably right in the top of the bend at just under the flange facing forward. I have kind of offered it up in the engine bay but wanted to get the rest welded up so I can fit it properly and make sure I won\'t foul anything. As yet I have no Rad or water pipes and bits like that to set-up around either so I have to be careful I don\'t put the wastegate in a space I might need for something else down the line!
As for squaring up the pipe Speedworks that was the combination of a big vice, G clamp, and hammering around forming tools! Took a bit to get it just right as I had worked out the tube diameter based on the perimeter of the T4 opening so it didn\'t leve a nasty step in the flow path.
Well. I did a bit more on the manifold this weekend and posted up some more pictures on the website. Almost there! With the manifold!
Looking like it will be very tidy :D

Hi Guy\'s
I managed to find some time over the christmas period to do a bit more work on the car and update the website! If your interested take a look.. I actually feel like have had made a bit of progress for once! So ending the year quite positively!
Happy New Year to all!
Looks like some awesome progress. Definately some excellent fabrication going on with the manifold !
Shaun
Done a little bit more playing.. Scratching my head a bit with my rad and intercooler setup but I am getting there!
Lovely work Leroy, I love watching manifolds coming together, now K-IIs back you\'ll have to pop over. :)
Sure will.. Will have to drop you a message when I have a spare minute. I am keeping track on your build.. Looking good!
Awesome, just awesome! So well documented, look forward to seeing the progression of this beast to completion.
Unlike Sicknote.. Very slow progress the last few weeks! once I got the ball rolling and committed to cutting up some brand new intercoolers it has come along!
Anyway you can read all the updates on my webpage with lots of pretty pictures!
But we\'re all in the same boat doing good things Lee... all full of win my friend. :)
Cheers Dave.. I\'ll go with that!
Not sure how many of you are following my build on my website.
I haven\'t put anything on here for a while.
but I have finally got the engine running so a major break through.

More pics and info on the build can be found under the triple rotor RX7 page at //www.rspowerprojects.co.uk
Excellent mate. Congrats
Excellent news; great to see (and hear!) a 20B come to life :)
Awesome! 20B is always a good thing :D Be carefull, that size turbo can suck your hand in ;)
I am just hoping the turbo is big enough!!
I am very interested to see how it will perform when I eventually make it to a dyno.
Lots of work to do still of course!
well done dude, sounds lovely
Great job, so good to hear another one fire into life, massive thumbs up. :)
That looks and sounds great! Well done you must be over the moon
Thanks.. Plenty to do yet though! But it is getting there! Cure the small leaks I had accept the one on the steering rack which turns out to actually be on the rack housing where the pipe fittings have been moved. Bit of a pain bit hey!
Sounds lovely mate! Great effort!
