Hello Everyone. :Thumbs-up

This is just a message to see if there is any demand for Carbon fiber on your 7\'s.

I do alot of carbon fiber parts mainly exterior for EVO\'S, GTR\'S & S2000. Ive always LOVED the 7 but never had the maltesers to buy one!!!

All i want to know is if you guys are as Carbon hungry as the other lot ( is there a demand.)

If there is I\'d glady look at getting some pieces and parts in to help out you achieve the look your after.

To the mods, I do know I can\'t trader without speaking to the admin, this is just to see if there is a demand first.

PS - I can do WET carbon and some DRY carbon.

Who does everyone usually go to for carbon?

The carbon I get comes from USA/JAPAN/CHINA

Its all top quality stuff, I only supply carbon that I would put on my car.

Well there does seem to be some good interest here for carbon which sounds great.
Im very reasonable with pricing. If you guys could give me a site to one of your traders or suppliers you always go to for carbon that would be brilliant, just so that I can see the selection and prices.

Imo its pointless making stuff that people can already get elsewhere unless your gonna be 1/2 the price because if people really wanted it they would already have it.
Why not work with an owner and bring out some  products which the market isnt already sacturated with which im sure would create more sales for you. HTH

Quality is always good mate, I don\'t do crap. As I said I wouldn\'t put crap on my own car. For now its best for me to see the demand first and see how many people purchase. Then later on I could sit down and draw up some new designs

Mate, I would say get something made up and display to us. I am sure people like I will jump on it straight away. We love Carbon. It\'s all about workmanship. Oh we go to Re Amemyia, R Magic, Feed, Odula and Panspeed to get our stuff. :)

Yes so for this instance that bottom link you gave me for the seals I could do probs do £80 as owners club discount.

But ill have to confirm pricing properly once people tell me what they want

Just an idea, a fairly new set (used for only 1 month) got sold for 50pounds. However, If you buy a feed carbon Sils, they will nearly set you back 120 pounds. So now you can see that the market is different for the designer marked product and a product build by someone who knows how to build that product.

I hope this will make sense. 80 to 90 pounds is not reasonable in my opinion. But, then who am I ? Lolll

But thats my point without trying to dampen your enthusiasm they can already be had for that price  (and indeed cheaper if youwant to spend more time searching) so why would people buy from you instead?
 
Where as if you were making bits that cant be found elsewhere youd stand a better chance of selling more.:Thumbsup!

Deffo hear you buddy, because im new to the 7 scene im just going to put up what I can get hold of for now, at good prices imo, because cheap isnt always best, the quality of these items will be very good.

No, but if you have a peruse around the for sale section the cheap stuff is selling. The stuff which isn\'t necessarily cheap but still reasonably priced isn\'t selling at all. A set of Racing Beat wheels in good sizes and offsets and recently refurbed with awesome tyres on for £800 springs to mind immediately.

The number of people who have the money to spend on spangly bits is far less than it was a year ago. New or second hand.

I think you\'re pitching at the market at the wrong time personally. Everyone wants something for nothing at the moment.

What you need to remember price wise is that trying to compare your prices of parts to those that they are designed upon (feed, RE-Amemiya ect) then make them a little cheaper, while I can see your reasoning, many owners will choose the genuine part over the copy part (no matter how good the quality) if the price of the genuine part is not that much more than what your selling.
Also when it comes to quality, I am not trying to offend you but we done truly know the quality of the parts until we have bought then and they have been delivered, a picture only tells half the story. And while I appreciate what you say that you would not sell anything you would not fit to your own car, I have seem some shoddy cheap crap fitted to cars.
One persons idea of acceptable can be another persons idea of cheap and nasty.

I am. It trying to say what your selling is cheap tat with a price tag but simply staying to flip the coil and show a buyers opinion.

Ideas...

Dash panel parts - Dome, gauge cluster etc (much like Mazdaspeed did but not stupidly rare)
Door panels flat.
Rear light panels - Like the new Re Amemiya one, just to be different
Fuse box covers
Radiator cooling panels
Spare wheel well tool box (FEED did one of these)


Some crazy ideas...
Roof panel - Would have to be a section that could be bonded on or fitted once the roof skin was removed but i guess then it would have to be stuctual and could lead onto..
Rear 3/4 panel. Much the same as above^
Full carbon upper and lower intake manifolds. Complicated but would be cool

+1 I have seen some horrible interior panels in carbon, a good quality set would be nice, although I imagine somewhat expensive.

Yeah, I\'d definitely be interested in some good quality replacement dash panels as well. The other problem with a lot of the Mazdaspeed copies (aside from the quality :rolleyes:) is the fact that they never seem to produce the panel that runs along the drivers door. I think it looks pretty crap when the carbon just ends at the instrument panel and doesn\'t continue along the door - just spoils the flow!

Something different in the diffuser area would be good as well - there aren\'t really that many designs to choose from so something original would be good, even if it still uses one of the typical designs as a starting point. :Thumbs-up

Definitely FD interior parts. It doesn\'t get enough love and being as some of these cars are old enough to legally buy alcohol in a shop, could do with a refresh. I assume you mean proper carbon parts not just wrapped?

In response to people talking about half the price well no offence but I\'d rather pay sensible money and get a decent product. All people want these days is cheap this, free this and then wonder why what they get is complete crap or lasts for a couple of days before breaking.

If he is going to make the same carbon parts that everyone else makes then unless they are either notably cheaper or far superior quality then why are people going to use his services over the others? Its not a criticism just a fact.
You got to bare in mind that all these parts you can already get by a lot more than just 1 supplier so were only trying to assist him:Thumbsup!

You already stated the reason. Just better quality would be better.

I have a request for FC (I know I am posting in the wrong forum, but so are you!).

This is not simple, so I expect the price to be a good bit up from the standard carbon fiber pieces.

RX7 FC stereo cover/center console angled towards the driver, kinda like FD and Supras. Loads of pics of the stock one on the interwebz. If you want, I wouldn\'t mind a PM instead so we don\'t spam down the FD forums with this if this is something you\'d be able to do.

One thing for my part though... I have a LHD so probably you wouldn\'t make one that fit my needs :(

im 100% behind arnie_o im in the market for fibre at this very monent for a dash bonet and vortex generatnor i think its call if a re-a part is 50 to 100 more than a copy i rather save up longer and have desinger, its like cloth primark and alot of other brands sell the same  things but i wont go to primark but ill buy designer because they are well known. please but take it the wrong way cheap or better price some time isnt what everyone want some people spent 10k up ward on mods already what is 500 pound savings compare to the value of the car.
