Booking for the 24th of August mate, it seems its only listed on the Castle Coombe web page itself!

And it will be rotary, maybe a rotary powered canoe if this goes on much longer!

Had some discrepancy with the noise tests at Combe the other day.

My FC came back as 114db... fair enough, didn\'t think I would pass.

But there was a guy there with a TVR Chim. First test, no silencers. Something around 110db. Puts on some big silencing cans. "Drops" to 112db. Puts a mini can inside the exhaust and the big cans over the top of them... 115db.

I must admit this is something i am little worried about.

I have Racing Beat backbox (just repacked) and large silenced mid pipe, i am not sure it could get any quiet for what it is to be honest!

1/2 metre at 4500 rpm i believe?

yeah that\'s correct. But they test you right next to a big brick garage.

I\'m sure that must cause some echo.

Mine was 108 with the exhaust it came with.......so got a bung on ebay which solved it but sounded crap...no meat to it just air moving.....so went for a JASMA approved exhaust and sweet nice sound and ........88 db....no loss of power!
Japanese Automotive Sports Muffler Association

I got a cat back 2nd hand 1 Fujitsubo 4 inch exit for £60.00 of ebay.....

I think all jdm boxes are Jasma approved, but they have different ratings! The RB back box is known to be one of the quietest and i have the biggest silencer that you fit on a centre section. Might buy a bung just in case as dont want to get there and not pass!

At least at 4500 rpm they wont hear the wastegate :)

If all goes ok on 27/7 I suspect I\'ll book the 24/8 as well mate so hopefully see you there.

......it\'s Audi/ VW day tomorrow up there and with this weather i suspect poor attendance i may see if i can sneak a 15 min session tomorrow as have not been on track since Japfest.
Need to scratch that itch.

How did you get on mate, did you make it and the noise limit?
