How do guys,
I bought my rx7 fd as a project car with the knowledge that the battery was goosed how ever when I picked it up the seller jump started it and it ran for a few seconds then cut out (suspected lack of fuel) yesterday I added fuel then to jump start it but nothing :/ now I\'m guessing it\'s flooded,
Am I right in thinking I can just pull the fuel pump relay and turn it over a couple of times then try again?
I am new to rotary engines and have been searching to high heaven to learn as much as I can so try not to bully me too much lol
Also if there is anyone local fancies coming round for a brew and a chat about the car and give me a few pointers it would be greatly appreciated :)
Try removing plugs and Egi fuse and crank for 30 seconds. Reconnect all and try to start if not then try Tow starting it is the easiest method.You may need to give it some accelerator and then drive it for a good way to get it really warm.
Don\'t do short hops in the car and also whenever you switch the motor off take revs to 3000 and then when igntion is killed put foot to the floor on accelerator pedal and keep it there till engine stops turning, that should help it never to flood again.
I might be up your way in my fd next weekend. Good luck with getting it started. If none of these work then take it to a rotary specialist and not your local garage as they will make matters worse
I cant tow start it as the clutch has failed so will if all else fails I\'ll do it once the clutch is on :)

Best bet is get clutch fixed first. Might as well go for higher rated clutch and put a wanted thread on here for lightened flywheel as both make the difference.
Have you tried asking plugs out and turning over
i have an exedy paddle clutch with lightened fly wheel which was removed from my car due to my power upgrade so i gitted a tripple plate carbon clutch. Exedy was coping with 450bhp prior to the upgrade.
Couple of turns with the egi fuse out and retry :
