Hey everyone,
I\'ve been itching to do some work on my car lately and now i have the time to do it its perfect. However probs cos i live in scotland it bloody rains all day everyday! Its a nightmare so im stuck inside instead of being out working on my car.
Is it crazy of me to want to buy a cheap Gazebo from argos and buy the sides for it and stick it over the front of the car so i can work on it?
Has anyone done this with good effect? I must admit its not really windy that often here.....it just likes to rain!
I swear i saw Noah\'s ark float past my house the other day! and you know its back when Halfords are selling rubber dingy\'s cheap!
Cheers
Not crazy at all, in fact i\'ve been thinking about something similar for my new garage.
Just make sure its well anchored down so it wont blow away :D
Adam
It just seems like a cheap alternative to building my own garage lol.
But i dont want people driving past thinking \'cool that guy has a gazebo!....wait a minute....why the F@#k (F@#k) does he have a car in it?.....did he drive home and forget to stop?\' lol
Or worst case someone knocks on my door.....\'excuse me sir but i think your gazebo has blown over onto your car\'.....Runs out in panic.....hang on no it hasnt.....i put it there! lol
cant see why not :D
But you will really need to anchor it down , they can catch a lot of wind underneath them ( i type by experience : watching mine blow around the back garden a few weeks back and destroy itself )
Might not be too bad if you have sides , as that should keep the wind out
Id be tempted to sink each leg into a bucket full of concrete , should be heavy enough to hold it down :D
ALTHOUGH , if it does go , 4 buckets of concrete are gonna do a lot of damage :(

if you can find the above , its prob the best deal you will find ;)
i bought a hot tub last year and had it in the garden and bought a pop up gazeebo with sided to put over it, it was up for about 2 weeks anchored into the ground, completely dry inside and light winds it was perfect then 1 day there was some real heave winds! it snapped all the guide ropes and ended up in the neighbours garden! so yea they are perfect except in high winds
Yep I did this when I was working on the front of mine. It worked a treat just make sure you anchor it well.
Ade
did this with my mates rx better than getting wet
