Title: Has anyone ever sent a PFC off to be repaired?
Post by: jpo on June 17, 2012, 01:18:01 PM
I have a PFC Pro from the 91-95 model FDs that is an expensive paperweight due to the ECU having a damaged circuit by the looks of it - bought it like that & doesn\'t run any car very well/at all really! I was wondering has anyone sent one of these off to Apexi (or someone else?) to have them repaired/motherboard replaced? It\'s a good PFC model with the Pro chip & all the benefits that go along with it & I\'d like to get it repaired & use it in my FD.

Yes. Pip has sent mine off when we discovered it had a fault. A year later I still don\'t have it back. Pip is supposed to be chasing and it\'s still not repaired so I\'m getting it back.

Did he send it off to Apexi in Japan or where did he send it?

It\'s just down the road from you actually if you\'re in Guildford.

I have someone that can repair micro electronics, They have repaired an apexi for me in the past and will give me a quote before proceeding with the repair. The main issue in repairing them is sourcing new components.

Drop me an email - Dale[dot]pluthero[at]gmail[dot]com
