Title: Run the air pipe before the cat?
Post by: Buhl on June 08, 2012, 10:43:30 AM
Hey MRC.

Im going to install a Magnaflow high flow cat on my FD.

But since its a universal model it does not have any pipe for the air pump (I knew that when i bought it)

But can i weld the air pipe on right before the cat? Would that work?

Have anyone ever made a high flow cat them selfs with the air pump connected?

The stock cat has the pipe running in right in the middle of it - anyone got pictures from in side a cat? Since the one i got has been gutted out.

As far as i know the air pipe helps speeds up the cat progress, helps burn the last unburnt stuff, and keep the temps off the cat down giving it a longer life.

Every kind off help would be nice! Have been searching around google for a few days now and nothing really comes up on this subject.

Salutes Anders!
