Okay, I\'m maybe being paranoid but I just got caught in the worst rain I\'ve seen for ages and the streets of Oxford aren\'t built to handle that kind of downpour.
I got stuck at a junction with the entire rex in several inches of water:( :( :(
Could hear (and feel) the water washing around the car when something drove past
I\'ve just got home and there is water pooled in the sparewheel recess so I\'ll try and get rid of all that, but what can I not see that\'s probably affected ?????
-edited post panic attack to reduce embarrasment
Hello ooooooo
Get a life............LOL
What do think happens belting down motorway in rain tha WHOLE car gets wet, really you have nothing to worry about.
The only thing I would try to find is the leak you have, water getting in spare wheel well.
One good thing to come from your sub aqua experience, you now know you have a leak.....
okay - over-reaction maybe, as the car is now dry (and empty of water) but being a non-technical type, I wanted to make sure that there wasn\'t likely to be another pool of water I couldn\'t see
It was a new experience to actually have the front splitter and sideskirts underwater though!
Honest mate should not do any harm.
The only other place to check for water is rear seats as occassionally they seem to collect water.
Rest will be fine, general drive in rain will put a lot more water on and under your car than standing in puddle.
If you\'ve got water in the spare wheel bit its most likely due to a water seal around the boot area being defect and thus water making its way down to the spare wheel storage area?
As you\'ve prob noticed when you open the boot sometimes a bit of water trickles through:)
A shark what\'s scared of water :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin
