Hi all.
Been wondering to join to the Wankelclub for a quite while and now I`m wondering about one car that is for sale at ebay.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160789801293?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649
Advert looks very strange and as I have spoke to that seller he writes really bad english (worse than I do) and doesn`t really know nothing about that car.
Any points I should be worried about or does anyone know that car?
The seller even has offered the car outside of Ebay for VERY cheap.
Any help would be marvelous.
Welcome to Mazdarotaryclub.
Sorry personaly I have never seen this car, pictures look O/K but its worrying what you have said about its owner.
You may be better to keep looking on our clubs own for sale section.
I hope you find what you are looking for :Thumbs-up

Well...
.. today the seller sent me a link for youtube video where he is testing the compression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_lxs0MMUjA
That looks awfully bad?
i know a piston tester isnt that accurate or the best on a rotary engine but thats rebuild time!
how cheap? if you look at it in terms of it needing a new engine it could be a very good buy. but
that front bumper looks horrible
whatever he\'s done to the back looks horrible
and everything about it screams out somethings dodgy
it doens\'t look like its been maintained by someone who knows alot about maintaining cars (thats just the feeling i get from the ad)
i\'d generally steer clear. may be worth a look if he\'s selling for chips
At this point I can announce that his offering it for less than 3K for straight buy outside of Ebay.
its really not worth it for 3k when you add in the cost of a rebuild and look at some of the great spec cars for sale on here at the moment.
Check this car mate, it\'s absolutely gorgeous thing

i think that before you buy an fd its worth thinking about what you want out of it and where you want to end up. For instance if you want a big power car, theres not alot of point in buying a standardish car and pouring heaps of money into it when you can buy a ready made one for a fraction of the price. It may cost you slightly more now but it will cost a whole lot less in the long run!

I`m really feeling sick now. How an earth people can do these kind of actions for few quids.
Same car - New seller - Same empty promises - Huge price.
the guy selling the car now, id stay well away, im talking from experience, i brought a car a while back from him, and when i had a incident with a lorry, and removed the engine i noticed several things wrong.
one of which the rear turbo\'s actuator was welded up :O theres loads more but i wont bore you guys with details, just warning you to stay away!
Thanks
sean
I hate to say this, but that will end up with some poor unfortunate who cant afford to repair it when it goes wrong! The perpetual stories of unreliable rotaries will get another member spouting how rubbish they are but hopefully that will be one less piece of trash off the road!
And we wonder why are cars arent worth much, this is your prime example!
Seen a few cars lately (red Cosmo for example) re-emerge within a short period with inflated prices and new seller.
