Title: where to fit aero catches ?
Post by: RX7Racer on March 28, 2012, 10:16:48 AM
i see quite a few bonnet pins and aero catches have been installed behind the headlight, pressumabley replacing the bonnet height adjustment post.

I think aero catches would look better between the lights at the front of the bonnet though,, is there any problem with putting them there ? I dont want to have 4 bonnet pins. I have a carbon RE style bonnet btw.

That\'s where I put mine. Behind the lights has the advantage of keeping the corners down if the bonnet is more flexible but if you like the look then do it.

Mine does slightly at speed and its the metal bonnet so very likely a composite bonnet will lift more at the outer edges.

Maybe someone else with one can comment?
