The one above the the thermostat housing that connects just behind it then turns 90 degree\'s and goes round the intercooler hose?

Seen here on the right of the BOV it has a cable tie on it that keeps it together with some wires.

and here it is disconnected from its connection point, just to clarify which hose i mean :)

Is it a water hose, what does it do? Is there a reason that the middle of it has a thicker hose over it?
Yes it is a water hose, it feeds off the thermostat housing IIRC. The cover over it is because it would be rubbing on the intercooler pipe (so this is so you dont wear a hole through it)
I cant remember off the top of my head the name of what the part is that it then connects to (BAC or that might be the part just above it - sorry I dont remember what its called)
I thought so thanks, when replacing it does is need a protective cover or is silicone less likely to perish when rubbing?
If it\'s likely to rub on anything, and as it already has a protective cover, then I\'d suggest replacing the cover when you replace the pipe.
Okay then, thought it might be possible to fit a slightly longer hose and avoid the rubbing. I\'ll see what i can do.
either/or, just as long as you don\'t end up with a leaking hose at a later date.
The size of this hose is 10mm inner diameter, if anyone wants to colour code it.
