Title: Enging Idle
Post by: Nath V on April 13, 2003, 04:25:59 PM
Could be a popular question but does anyone have any info on what a 3rd Gen 7 should be idling at?

As much info as poss would be really helpful.

Thanks

Are there any common faults that cause them to rev high???

Leaking inlet manifold gaskets tend to cause this problem.

Get yourself a length of hose, start the engine, put one end of the hose to your ear, and move the other around the engine bay, mainly around the turbos and inlet manifolds.
