Title: Mitsubishi Evo IV GSR
Post by: tuner017 on March 07, 2012, 01:34:01 AM
Mitsubishi Evo IV GSR JDM import in grey.  Around 130k km.  Speedo still  reads in kph. No Tax, No MOT.  Being sold as project spares/repairs.

Taken in PX as a non-runner, but I do not have the time or money to put  it back on the road and I need to free up some cash to get my FC back on  the road.

Good points:
All GSR amenities, AC, PS, full stock wind deflectors, water spray  intercooler, full Recaro interior, Alpine head unit, turbo timer, big  bore exhaust, full GAB adjustable coilovers, Evo VII front brakes and  wheels.

Bad points:
Has some cosmetic issues, slight damage to rear wing, front lip is  scraped, wheels have kerbing, driver\'s seat bolster has collapsed, but  the fabric is not torn would just need a new foam insert to be made  good.

It has a rear view camera mounted in the boot lid, but there is no  screen, not sure why not.  As far as I know, it needs a new radiator to  get it running again.  Comes with a radiator, but it\'s an uprated one  and won\'t fit with the AC condenser in place.  Shouldn\'t take too much  to get it back on the road.

It\'s not mint, but would make a good base for a time attack or fast road  car.  I\'ve tried to be as honest as I can about the car.  If there are  any questions, please ask.  I\'m sure there\'s stuff I\'ve missed.

Car is located in Oxford and would need to be trailered away.

I apologize for the phone camera pics, but more can be taken of any  particular aspect of the car if wanted.  Available for viewing anytime.   Thanks for reading.  Looking for around £1500 ONO.

Unfortunately, I have not had it running as I got the car with no rad.  It used to belong to my mate, and it was running well a few years ago when he was driving it.  I\'ve got some basic service history up until 2007 which is when I believe the car was imported.  No Japanese history.  I\'ve got all the old MOT\'s as well.

UPDATE:
I managed to get this running tonight.  Engine runs sweet as can be, no ticking or tappety noises, just a smooth tickover.  I didn\'t take it for a drive as the shift linkage is broken, would only need the shift linkage mount to be welded back together.  As asked above, the AYC light came on at startup, but then turned off, I assume this is as it should happen?  I didn\'t run to car too long, just got it up to temp with no issues.  The stock rad fan doesn\'t fit with the aftermarket rad (for some reason the rad fan is taller than the brackets allow for), and the AC condenser had to be removed to fit.  I reckon a bit of welding and a slimline electric fan will have this back on the road.  As such, would be looking for a bit more cash as it\'s now a running car.  Would like to see around £2000 ONO.
Cheers.

OK, so the situation has changed a bit.  After a buyer backed out, I really do need to get this sold.  She runs great, selects all gears fine, and everything works as it should.  She\'ll still need a fan fitting, so can\'t run it for long at the moment.  Will still need to be towed or trailered away as there\'s no tax or mot.  Took a few more pictures yesterday, can take some more on request.
