Sorry I\'m going to miss this one. I have always enjoyed this laid back event in previous years, with plenty to do and see at Brooklands. Highly recommended for car and aero enthusiasts, plus a great family day out.
I\'m off on holiday and will be packing that day. Hope the weather is good for for everyone.

Some of you will know that, after a short flirt with Rotaries in the shape of our lovely FC EGI, we decided to move on... largely to do with too little cash and too little time. Well she\'s found a new loving owner and went yesterday so, sadly, we\'ll not make Brooklands after all (unless you\'d welcome a hairdresser - well at least its still Mazda!).
Have a great meet everybody. We\'ll remember our EGI very fondly and, if fortunes change, would love to be back......

Steve and James - so sorry to hear that the FC has gone, but pleased to hear the car will be going to a good home. I enjoyed meeting and speaking to you both at the Beaulieu event last year. Maybe we\'ll see you back sometime in the future - quite a few people "move on" and then find they miss their rotaries so much they end up with another one sometime later. Good to hear you\'ve got an MX-5 though, so not totally devoid of a fun car ;)

Always been my first event but I have a wedding to go to in reading! Wonder if they will notice if I slip off for a bit.......
Its come round already!
What time are we kicking off
Keith
Just seen the other post from Clive reminding that it is Saturday this year and gates open at 10am :wiggle
Keith
A bit of a random question, but I can\'t seem to find my membership card, will that pose a problem getting in? I\'ll keep looking for it, but would be good to know, I\'d still be able to get in without it.

No need to worry, Lisa or somebody will be at the gate with a list of full club members names so no card or number needed, see you there :driving
Sounds good :Thumbs-up
too bad i can\'t make it..
i will try to come over for Rotorstock this year, the FC is running again after more then a year and it deserves a nice long drive :)

Shame you can\'t get over for this as I\'m sure you would love all the history connected with Brooklands plus the huge variety of cars and bikes they have on show from ancient to modern
See you at Rotorstock where this year there will be much much more going on than in years gone by :Thumbs-up
Looks like it may be a bit \'damp\' somewhat unusual for this event.
Remember there\'s all the exhibition stuff to wonder round so don\'t let the threat of rain put you off.

Due to a family bereavment ( my Mum ) we will not be able to attend Brooklands this year. It\'s a great venue and all who attend will have a great time, I\'m sure. Looking forward to the photo\'s.

From the Mrc weatherstation near Brooklands
Well the weather is superb today very very bright blue skies with lots of white clouds not a drop of rain yet. If we employ the 50% rule of weather prediction tomorrow should be unexpectedly good weather. :p

Here come some pics!
As always a very big thank you to Clive and Lisa for organising, for Brooklands for hosting and help making it all run smoothly, and everyone who turned up to make it a great day.
Sorry I didn\'t get a photo of everyone who won a prize on the day - but congratulations to one and all.
More pictures to follow...
Ian.
And the second half of the set...
The rotary engine being dismantled was excellent (thanks to Carl and the engine donor - drop me a PM for the full set of pics).

Had a great day, and Joseph really enjoyed seeing "a real engine" being dismantled (despite my protestations that the table might fall on him or I\'d be in trouble if he came home with clothes soaked in oil!)!

Thanks for a really nice day once again and for all the work that goes on behind the scenes to make these things happen.
Regards
Carl
Gutted I didnt make it. The railway needed fixing on sat and me and Aaron was summoned to work. Looked like a great day and some stunning cars
Many thanks to Clive and Lisa for arranging another great Spring Show. It was worth the long journey down to Brooklands.
Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the oppotunity to chat with so many interesting people about Rotary\'s.
Here are our selection of pictures from the day;
And can anyone suggest a \'clean\' suitable caption for this scene ?
Our version is; "At the impromptu committee meeting, Aston and Clive were in awe of Ian\'s explanation of his lenes \'zoom zoom\' abilities"
Thanks to all you great people who came from far and wide with your Rotarys yesterday and made this years Brooklands a really nice event, indeed it probaly had more of a laid back relaxed feel than in all the previous years, once again thanks for making Brooklands 2012 as without you all being there with your cars there would be no event.
Quite poignantly, this year we "stationed" ourselves at the old vintage petrol station, anyone would think our cars are petrol station magnets :o
i will make this event one year, the rx4 will get done eventually and be the centre of attention at brooklands.

its the best i can come up with without these showing up :censored::censored::censored: ha
\'and look, when I do this, it grows from 3" to 6"...\'
Many thanks to Clive and brooklands museum, this was indeed very well organised and really relaxed we had a good time.
It was nice that we were there, even without our car(s).
At least we brought an engine so everybody could see how this works (small) contribute.
It was very nice talking to Clive,Carl,George and all the others we have talked with we had a good time.
Next time we will be there with at least 1 car.
Regards Marcel and Marianne (Netherlands).
Shame the weather wouldn\'t make it\'s mind up shorts wasn\'t a good idea, top day though and good to see the rotaries in all different forms, and see some great cars collecting prizes though someone needs to knock Clive off the old school podium.
Looks like it was a great day! Due to a work issue kicking off at 2am I was in no position to come :( Absolutely gutted.
Al - sorry to hear your news :(

It was great to meet you and have the time to chat about all things Rotary.
The exhaust manifold flanges you produce looked excellent.
Good luck finishing your cars (although I think Marianne will insist on having her\'s finished before yours !).
Hope you had a safe journey home.

Hi Chris,
It was very nice to meet you aswell and you really have a nice car :god
I like the work you put in to it and driving it on the road and track aswell.
The underneath of Marians car is almost ready so,the engine will go in this week.
I will put up a thread real soon so you can see what we are doing i know you gonna like it because we are on the same level.
The manifold flanges are nice i like them to soon we are gonna make custom manifolds as well (on demand) keep you posted.
Let me know about the intercooler anytime and i will be happy to help you with that as well.
Marcel en Marianne
It was a great half day for me. I had to rush back to London for a group I attend on Saturdays and so it looks like I missed out on some fun in the afternoon.
Thanks as ever to Clive and Lisa and twas good to chat to the folks.
I don\'t know all the names of the prize winners - did I miss a list of the privileged few somewhere?
Keith
Thanks again to Clive and Lisa for organising this event. Nice to finally meet you both as well :Thumbs-up Was a surprise bonus to go home with a cup (or FBling as it is now known) :rollinand I\'ll work on getting TWiR tarted up a little more for next year.
A great day out and I met some top people so that more than made up for the undecided weather. I hope we can get the group shot on the banking next time out as I was really looking forward to that. Maybe the rain put the dampeners on that one??
Great day as usual at Brooklands, thanks Clive and Lisa, keep up the good work!
