Title: Help please! RX as 2nd Car
Post by: GeckoGareth on July 05, 2004, 05:40:44 PM
I\'m having a bit of a mare insurance wise.

Adrian Flux gave me an initial quote on a modified FD online for £475. Rang them up and they say best they can do is £1200. Bit of a difference to say the least.

The RX will be a second car and only used weekends and occasional evenings.

On my day to day car I have accrued 4-5 years no claims. What is going to be the best way to insure the FD? Can I tell the insurers I have 4-5 years no claims when I get a quote? I don\'t really understand how the no claims thing works

cheers

Gareth

you can only apply no claims to one car at a time
you can\'t use it twice

your existing insurer may "mirror" the no claims onto your second  car if you insure it with them but thats the only way

if its a 92 and you are 25 plus you can probably get a classic policy from somewhere
