I couldn\'t find the right thread but I just thought I\'d share the wealth here by bragging about Luke @ Pacific Works based near Luton.
He\'s predominantly a well known and highly praised MR2 specialist with a wealth of mechanical knowledge. I\'ve known him for a good few years and ive been up and down the country to many \'specialists\' who have carried out work on my MR2. (Im an MR2 enthusiast 6 years running). Luke was the last stop I ever made when it came to any major or minor work carried out on my MR2 and I have gone to no-one else purely because he ticks all the boxes of being very honest, friendly, competitively priced and above all... Very anal (oh er) about his work.
Today is the first time he had ever carried out work on an RX7 despite being familiar with them. I went to Luke because of the high standard of work he carries out and today I challenged him to fit my 3" HKS Downpipe. Despite never doing one before he did an amazing job and seemed to find a way to do it which is much more simplified than what other specialists have described the work to be which was much involved. Upon removing the original downpipe he found a lug which was stripped completely and one nut which was literally hanging off due to whoever re-built the engine seemed to do a lazy job of it. Nuts and bolts were replaced, re-dyed accordingly and fitted properly.
All the work until today has been carried out by myself such as all the usual bolt on mods but the down pipe was beyond me and Luke has a very large and properly equipped premises (x-box, a proper audio setup within the warehouse, seating and many of the treasured cars he looks after) with every tool you can think of.
I can highly recommend Luke to anyone in terms of Downpipe fitment for your stock twin setup as well as brakes, suspension etc... My RX-7 will be his guinea pig and i\'ll report back on any work he carries out on it in future.
