Just wondering, has anyone under 25 been able to get classic car insurance on their FC? need to start thinking about getting mine insured again soon and looking at my options... failing that i wonder if i can get my 1989 mx5 on classic caar insurance lol
The FC would have to be your second car (in your name), that what I was told over the weekend when looking for insurance.
im 22 and i think ive been through pretty much every classic car insurance company and not been able to do it :[
ive got a 1994 mx5 aswell which isnt insured, think im going to see what tesco can offer me :]
I always thought it was 25 for classic policies to be honest.
Im 25 and have only just been able to get classic car insurance :)
Sounds about right.
Whats everyone paying on their policies? Mine was previously £275 with lancaster. Anyone got better than that?
Got a renewal quote from Adrian Flux today for when my policy runs out (on my 21st birthday!). £2000...with the way things are nowadays that isn\'t too bad I suppose considering my age.
29 year old... £14.30 per month for my turbo II ;)
I pay €450 on mine, which is really expensive for Cyprus.
Think mine is around £350 with all mods declared, I was going to pre-declare adding the TA45 but the \'standard\' increase in power is 30% more (which can be done on the OEM turbo!) so I would have to check with the underwriters about the plus 100% or more the TA45 might put out.
Just say \'it came like that\' :Giggle
At the moment my mx5 is costing me £360ish and last time i got a quote for the rx7 was about £780 wouldnt mind having them both insured but could do with the rx7 being cheaper, its looking like i need to be 25 for classic car :( unless it was some really old car
Im ok with the classic car insurance being the same or slightly more than normal, classic car policies don\'t use NCB, so I can free up the 7 years NCB from the RX7 and put it on my Volvo lol
Thats what ive done mitch, though my daily is soon to be sold so my ncb will be redundant. If only i could sell it...
Rising son - whos that with?
