Title: HKS Turbo Timer Removal problem
Post by: Damanb89 on February 19, 2012, 10:27:37 AM
hi guys, i just removed a turbo timer from my 92 FD3s, the 3 wires that were plugged into the vehicle are shown below.

the problem is since i have removed it the immobiliser has been playing up, when i turn the engine off and remove the key all power seems to go, ignition will not work, alarm will not arm, doors wont lock etc, this remains for about 3 or 4 minutes then all comes back to life and the car is normal again.

i am wondering if any of the wires left in the car need to be plugged back into something else.

the 2 individual wires are grey with red dots, and black with red dots

if you trace the wires up the loom there is 2 connectors attached to that wire unplug the 2 of them and plug the the the ones on the car together, hope that makes sense

thats the turbo timer harness yea, well where that wire plugs into on the car follow it back and you will see 2 plugs, unplug the harness from the car then connect up the 2 connectors you are left with on the car

I just installed my turbo timer an hour ago so…if you take the plastics off the steering wheel surround at the bottom left corner you will see the vehicle specific turbo timer wire harness. Remove it and plug the ignition harness back together and everything should work as advertised.
