Title: What a bargain

Being old enough to have been a \'Mod\' first time round I always keep my eye out for Lambrettas on ebay - saw this what a bargain

If you call them a vespa it hits the spot !! I used to Dyno a drag scooter and it was fast !! Used a rm 250 barrell etc , they still have a big following . Rubbish to ride though

Vespas are :censored::censored::censored::censored:!!!!! My dad can\'t stand them.

I had a 50cc rev and go that we got to do 80moh down hill and 70mph on the flat. Used to embarrass a few cars at the traffic lights when going to local cruise. Lol

Wouldn\'t have been anywhere near as fast if it wasn\'t for my dads tuning and knowledge on 2strokes and lambrettas.

I\'m with your dad, at the time Vespa\'s seemed more London.

I did start a rebuild project a few years ago but sold it 80% complete.

I never passed a bike test, you never had to then up to 250cc.

Having a car licence would I still have to do the theory part if I too a bike test?

Yes, my brother did his bike test recently and had to do a theory test first. It\'s all money making and making it harder for people to ride anything with 2 wheels

aghhh thought there was a bargain to be had, gave  my Lambretta\'s away when I left home and bought my first car (Twin carb 1.8 Marina in 1987 I think) and the rest went to the dump. All the bits and scooters would be worth around 3-4k now easy:2Confused

But It was from these I learnt about stripping old engines, fuel and all the rest with bodywork ,rust and so on. Much beter than Playstations:yes
But now I want one again just so easy to work on and fun
