This is a regular monthly meet on the third Tuesday of the month from 7.00pm onwards
The location is 'The Wharf' (pub/restaurant), Galleon Boulevard, Dartford, Kent DA2 6SL. They serve good, cheap food.... and are very friendly, with children welcome.

The new location is The Lion in Farningham.
It's a Vintage Inns pub, only a couple of minutes further south along the M25. It's lovely inside with a mix of open areas and smaller more private spaces. The garden is huge and stretches out to a very pretty river. The menu is great and comparable in price to The Wharf while the food quality is much better. In addition to the regular pub grub they also do hand-stretched pizzas which are excellent. The dessert menu is more varied as well. There's loads of parking, either in the pub car park or over the road.

This fits in well with RX-8OC local meets on the first week of the month (Surrey ), the second week (Barnet) and the last week (Essex).
Hopefully we will get the RX8OC guys there too with their underpowered (compared to you FD owners) RX8's ;)
Everyone welcome who has an interest in Mazda Rotary cars, be in old-school, RX-7 (FB, FC, FD), RX-8 or future rotaries (we can only hope :)).
Even better if you can bring along your rotary to the meet - but it's not compulsory ;)

Come on guys there have got to be some RX7\'s and older that are allowed out to play in weather other than fine?
Looking at the above "if" there\'s enough interest to hold this again then it may be an idea to hold this on the third Friday of each month as many sighted the Tuesday as the reason this stopped after 6 or 7 years .
If I had my rx4 running I would attempt to come but it\'s not there just yet. Even though it\'s a loooong drive for me.
Will take this in to consideration Clive, The numbers over on the RX8OC are still swelling and its looking hopeful.

Ok sorry its a little short notice guys, girls and inbetweeners.
Just a reminder to say that the first meet for the new/old Dartford pub meet will me tomorrow (20th March. Details should be on the first post in here.
People used to start arriving around 7-7:30pm though there is no need to think if your not going to be there till later that your not welcome, Owners and prospective buyers are all most welcome.
Myself and many others are very much looking forward to seeing this get off the ground again and hopefully becoming a strong and popular event.
Would be great to see as many peopl there as possible with the same interest.

Looking at the RX8OC thread, there is a regular attendance at this meet, even through the dark and cold winter months :) Now the weather is picking up a bit there are likely to be a few more people going along in months to come.

Mazda rotary enthusiasts have been invited to visit the new Mazda UK HQ offices, show room and heritage area before the monthly Dartford meet on Tuesday Feb 16th. :D
The address is Victory Way, Crossways, Dartford, Kent DA2 6DT - literally just round the corner from The Wharf where the meet happens - and they would like us to be there at 6pm until about 7.30pm.
"Currently we have the 1981 SPA 24hr winning RX-7 and a Mazda Cosmo sport in the heritage area"[Edit - the Cosmo is having the engine refitted and may not be there]
There is no limit on numbers, so if anybody fancies a drive to come and join us, this is an unprecedented invitation and opportunity. :thumleft:
The meet at The Wharf will then happen as usual for anybody wishing to stay on later into the evening.

Real real shame more did not attend this at the Mazda HQ last night as it was a real nice surprise to find that inside the showroom they really are paying homage to the Rotary, with Rotary Videos and a gorgeous Rotary plaque honouring the 1967 Cosmo, even their conference room is called the Rotary room.
Reading between the lines after talking to the three Mazda UK guys who were not only super friendly but also had clearly given up their "going home time" to make this happen, this morning I find myself encouraged that there does indeed look as though another Rotary is on the horizon.
One gem came out, in that the fantastic 2015 RX Concept car has been awarded Concept car of the year, which hopefully encourages Mazda even more to bring the Rotary back :bravo_2:.
Really nice that these Mazda UK guys were real car enthusiasts even getting me to position the RX-4 for their own pictures.
There is already talk of this happening again in the summer which should give those who missed this an opportunity to attend
