Title: Steering wheel/cruise control
Post by: Damanb89 on February 04, 2012, 10:08:23 PM
Hi all, new to the forum, bought my first rx7 eariler today, a 1992 red FD3s
its pretty much standard apart from a few small mods, which i would like to change!

my first question is with regards to the steering wheel, it currently has an aftermarket steering wheel on, but i would like to swap it back to a standard wheel, i got one with the sale, but not i doubt its off the same car, it has buttons for cruise control, do all FD3s come with cruise control? and if so how hard would it be to hook it back up? also how hard will it be to get the standard wheel back on? dont fancy the air bad blowing into my face when driving because ive done something wrong..

Welcome to the club mate. :wave
Not all Fd\'s came with cruise control. Infacet i believe it was only the X type model and UK cars that did, but i could be wrong.
I\'m not sure about connecting that back up but as for the airbag i think its just one connector thats behind the horn button that does that.
Wheels are easy to swap over, just undo the large nut in the center of the steering colum once you\'v got the horn off. This will get the wheel boss off. Then all you do is put the standard wheel back on
