I\'ve not done it myself, but I have seen it so it is possible. The again if you\'ve got the money you can do almost anything.

The rails have to be modified. It\'s definatly NOT a bolt on job.

I can get electric RX8 seats, but decided it\'s too much hassle to do it. Going bucket seat instead.

I also discovered that there are leather RX8 seats and cloth RX8 seats; does any one know which model started to do leather?
Matt from //www.mphcustoms.com is going to fit them for me (he has been doing lots of work on my car) so I don’t mind some work involved..

Not a fan of the RX8 seats if im honest...I think a pair of Bride Seats or Spirit R look more suited to an FD (more aggressive imho)

Do you have a website? I\'ve got twin needle walking foot, cost more then most cars out there! I\'m not in a workshop yet, work from home as I only started up august 2010.

Bin doin this on and off for 20 years now (left school and qaulified as a mechanic first lol ) and before anyone says I\'m an old :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: and def older than I look. :) I\'ve moved more into repairs and do a lot more insurance  and manufacturer work in peoples home nowadays all over the south. I was going to do a website last year but  I\'m so bloody busy  I\'ve had to turn down local work for the last 6 months so never bothered. I\'m lucky enough to have a v large garden so have my workshop here.

What sort of stuff are you doing?

Soz for the thread highjack :)

Yeah the forum could do with a shout box, I should really pay up to become full member now i\'ve got my FD so I can PM. Will get on that.

I specialise in car interiors, dash board, seats the lot. Things never worked out at my old place, minimum wage for 3 years and every time I had new ideas (which i now use and couldn\'t live without) I always got told.. "Your not paid to think"

Much happier where I am now though and wouldn\'t change it for the world. You can see some of my work on my website. http://www.edgeautomotive.co.uk (http://www.edgeautomotive.co.uk)

And too keep on topic.

I believe there are some RX8 seats for sale in the for sale section (of all places) :roll eyes:

"You can see some of my work on my website. //http://www.edgeautomotive.co.uk"

The site and the work all look really nice - even the OTT chesterfield effect in the whatever it is - owner obviously a closet T-bucket hot rod fan!

Site bookmarked for future reference and yes, a section for people with relevant skills like yours (and Cyman\'s) would be a good idea.

hehehe dont open that can of worms again. wont happen because of businesses that pay to advertise on here.

i got my wrists slapped many years ago when i offered to get some leather renovation kits or colours up together for no profit just to help members and it was frowned upon  :D:D:D:D
