I used to have power coated wheels on my 106, I loved the finish on them but I can\'t help with the chrome as mine were anthracite.

I have a set of these and looked into the polished lip look. Obviously polishing is out of the question. Not sure you can powder coat chrome look can you?

The Ver 2\'s a lovely though, and are slightly different. Big $ though.

I emailed a company about getting them polished but as said its out of the question with the tight corners etc but they suggested powder coated chrome but im concerned its just that crappy hyper silver in which case id have to change my idea slightly but I know the RX8 as an extra came with chrome rims and wondered if that was powdercoated.

Be warned they do make it clear it\'s not chrome,

I say be warned, whist not powder coating and things do move on, I had a set of Koesi\'s "black chromed" for my RX-7 a few years back and in the flesh they did not look loike chrome and I got rid of them,

It may be an idea to see an example in person before spending "or" just get them chromed for real and done with.

I use these people and have some more parts going up to them on Monday

Hmm, I was thinking this as I posted above. Could they part chrome the wheel? Crome the lip and have the centers painted?

That would be ideal but I suspect alot of hassle to them and no cheaper.

Personally i wouldnt have an ally powder coated in a "chrome" finish or actually properly chrome plated! I have just had a set of Work Rezax refurbed which were originally chrome and it was tragic how they looked + will cost you an arm and leg to do properly!

A good polishing place will achieve what you want or even get them diamond cut :)

ive spent over 10K on a car worth 3K im not worried about loosing money cos I wont as I dont plan to sell.
I have though about curbing etc but I guess thats the chance you take had my CR kai\'s done just before Japfest last year and curbed them within the week.

Id like a polished look but I cant find anyone who list it as there service other then on place and they have said it cant be done as the polisher wont be able to get into all the corners.

Have you tried any of the wheel refurb specialists?

90% of wheel specialists round here are just touch up boys I spoke to a few told them what I want and they where of the attitude  "yeah sure we can spray them silver for you we have a wide range of just silver" there not really equipped for custom or specialist stuff same as most body shops there just accident repair now.

If you know any refurb guys that can do specialist stuff let me know im most likely gonna have to send them away to be done anyway.
