Post by: the hat on January 24, 2012, 12:21:54 PM
I require ideally some bRaided brake hoses

And a ns front wing in good condition or a aftermarket front bumper which will hide the rust at the bottom of the wing

blimey thats cheap .. i would have had that if you werent miles away ( although i think she might have killed me )

what are you doing with it

ohhh does it have a Y pipe on it ? ( exhaust )

why dont you break it for uber cheap money .. you get to learn how stuff comes off ( always handy ) and you will make more than £60 for it

you cant tell i might need some bits can you ;)

to be honest pal its not for me .. there is a user in blackpool and the exhausts have blown off

from speaking to him , and some pics , it looks like swapping the Y pipe could be the way forward ..

lets see what mitch sorts for you .. and i will direct the lad here ..he might drop you a few beer tokens aswell as postage :)

Dude, if you do break, I could really do with the full clutch cylinder setup if it\'s all good, and the power steering cooler if its not about to fall apart.

i was tempted by lots of the metal work underneath ( rear subframe , wish bones etc.. )

But not sure if they will fit a T2 or not ?

Basically have had an ultimatum to get rid of one of the EGI\'s for ages and now need it gone.  Am just about ready to take engine out as I want to hang onto that.

Unfortunately time is a massive issue for me (hence why it has taken so long to get to where I am now).  No time during the week because of work and no time at weekends as my wife works nights so whilst she sleeps I need to do jobs and look after the 3 little ones.

I will see what I can do with regards to any of the requests above as and when I next get a chance to go out and work on her.

Oh and there is no exhaust left as this one had RB system which has since moved onto my other EGI as the one that was on there fell to pieces :(

Skifle - if you could give me some info on where I might find these parts then I will see what I can do when work on the car again.  Sorry but I am a mechanical numpty so know very little about cars unfortunately.

Thanks

Mark

a shame you are miles and miles away :(

i see your point now about having no time to break it

Grinder, if you are able to get it transported to you for a reasonable price I am prepared to give her away to the right person.  Whilst I would not get my scrap money, at least she might be used to help some other members.

the power steering cooler is a metal pipe that runs in front of the radiator and turns back on itself.

the clutch bits are on the bulkhead, i\'ll try and find some pictures.

You can bypass the pas cooler and it will be fine as if your not drifting etc it\'s not really gonna get hot enough too have problems

oh my goodness, i am blessed then! my missus dad owns his own garage so she thinks its perfectly normal to have a car sitting in bits in the drive, the only thing she is concerned about is the cat getting cut/stuck on it which of course never happens so all\'s good

this is the pride of my rc fleet- (http://i848.photobucket.com/albums/ab48/wolfie1_bucket/blackout001.jpg)
its got a 30.5cc petrol engine, chokeless carb (better air flow), phat dad angled shred stack (makes the air flow better into the engine from the carb), a tuned pipe that i got custom made in the states (what a difference this made) i have changed the gearing in the final drive to make it faster since it now has more torque, changed over a lot of bits to anodised blue aluminium for strength, 2 20kg pushing strength steering servos and a few extra mods by me. i bought the thing for £600 and have prob spent about £600-£700 modifying it!

here is a short video of it in action, its about 2 1/2 feet long!

oh and speaking of braided hoses... i\'m about to sort something out for my power steering cooler along these lines as i\'m pretty sure it\'d work... think along the lines of plumbing, more specifically, tap connectors...
