Hi all,
I have no clue what to do with my FC, my kart project will mean that my FC will be slower on the drag strip when its done (or projected to be) the car has been off the road for about 3 months due to issues with getting all the fueling fitted so havn\'t been able to drive it for ages.
The car has used about a tank of fuel in almost 3 years, here are my options, I have to finish off the fueling upgrade as its gone past the point of no return with the wiring loom and rails but here are the options:
Option 1
Keep the OEM turbo, fit the meth injection kit, max the upgraded OEM turbo and see what it does with the uprated TMIC and rad, sell the V mounth and TA45 setup and bridgeported engine.
Option 2
Upgrade the turbo to the TA45, get the downpipe adjusted to fit the current system, buy all the pipework and connectors, buy 2 more fuel pumps, fit the V mount kit, sell the uprated OEM turbo, OEM engine, uprated TMIC and uprated rad
My advice from seeing all your posts which are mostly about all the parts you have how much power your car wil have when it is finished is, sell everything you have collected and get it finished quick as you can get out to use it. no point in having it as an ornament (an FD would have been a much prettier choice!)
^^ what he said , dibs on the TMIC if its cheap enough ;)
another vote for finishing it. You\'ve been talking about it for ages, just get on a do it!
You\'ve got to finish it, let\'s face it you\'d have wasted 3 years and a hell of a lot of cash if you don\'t.
Yuuuuuuuuuup. Get it finished and stop pussying around. Besides you owe me a race and if you don\'t show I win with my stock turbo by default :)

Finish it, drive it, sell it and donate all the proceeds to:

Or at least just throw the towel in now and give me your cool stuff?
Save up a bit more cash and get someone to fit it all for you. That way it gets done quicker.
Chop chop, stop playing with those scooters , finish the car so I can whoop your ass ;):Laugh
Scooter engine is sold, SV650 engine is being fitted instead, will be faster than my FC, hence my dilemma lol

You can\'t drive the kart on the road, finish the fc n then do the cart.
Chop chop. You finished it yet :)
You fitted that 55mm Greddy type C wastegate yet? :D

Yes :Thumbsup!
Stop messing around and get the FC sorted - at this rate the flying turd will be finished before your FC.
Also, as per Trind - I need you to finish it so I can whoop your ass on the strip :Giggle
DAMMIT lol well thats me out of ideas lol
Gotta finish the FC properly - sounds like it would be rather impressive. :D
If you find yourself mostly dreaming of the Kart (and maybe hoping people had posted a +1 for the kart) then you have already chosen an option ;)
Whichever option you choose, enjoy it :cheers
The kart will be built, its just how far I go with the FC, I think I will probably turn the TA45 down to lower boost @ around 500bhp else it might blow up boxes rather than going all out on power. Guess I need to get the car on the road first to see what its like again.
Stick with it mate it will get there in the end and if not sell me cool stuffs
sort out ur fueling then just drive the dam thing lol
once my fc is eventually on the road.. i can let you know power figures then u can decide if u want bigger tub on stock engine or go more power, bridgeport etc.
i think t04e with uprated ignition, WI, ur fueling setup will easy see over 400 bhp @ 1.2 / 1.3 bar
The answer to the question is that I am selling up
It\'s dissapointing to say the least.
Seriously? This is an early April fools yeah?
Why not just get it running for a while and enjoy it. Then in winter stick the BP motor in it with one of those huge ass turbo\'s you have knocking about, Map it and drive it. Seems like a waste of the last few years otherwise :(

Most of my high end parts are up for grabs now, will either sell the car in the summer or leave it with the standard turbo and see what can be done with that, took the car out today, felt slow and I didn\'t find it exciting anymore, will see what happens when I have a base map for the larger secondaries on there.
Right, ive decided, I am keeping the FC but it will stay with the OEM turbo and I will see what power can be got out of a stock ported stock turbo FC and see what can be done with what mazda bolted onto the car as OEM. It will cut down the insurance costs due to not needing to declare a plus 200% turbo upgrade, I won\'t need to worry about the gearbox imploding or the diff shattering into a million pieces. I should get around 300bhp or so from it as fueling won\'t be an issue, neither will the clutch slip.
Im not going for big power anymore, I also have no parts left to buy apart from maybe an electric fan for the rad which can be controlled by the e-manage.
Good lad, I know you\'d come around. Have you been driving her yet?
Need to get the intermediate base map on there for the secondaries, its booked for the MOT on Monday so will see, need to also make sure the bumper doesn\'t melt as it shoots twin fireballs out the back at the mo due to overfueling.

Looks like ours cars are going to be very similar in the end then. That should make it interesting when I finally get to race you!

Indeed, with a slipping clutch, boost leak and RUBBISH exhaust I managed a 14.2, will see what I can do when I get an extra 50% increase in power :)
high 12s i rekon on street tyres
What would a higher power FC make if I had fitted the TA45? Mid 11s?
Some decent tyres and 500fwhp should see 10s easy. Prividing diff doesn\'t break. That\'s my plan anyway but my car will be lighter than an FC.
200bhp = 14s
300bhp = 12s
400bhp = 11s
500bhp = 10s
That about right for the FC?
It depends on a lot of things other than HP. For example there are rx3s in Australia with 550 whp that run 8s.
Setup counts for just as much as HP, its when you want to go faster and faster that your HP needs go up exponentially.
For example 1500-2000 HP is needed to get into the 6s
I kinda figured that :) but the figures above seem about right, although my slowest time is 26 seconds at 200bhp...clutch slipping and pouring smoke for the full 1/4 mile lol
