I know there are few gamers on here, anyone playing Rage.
I was bought it for xmas - good old fashioned shoot-em-up brought up to date so you have to think and plan.
I think it\'s one of the best games ever, makes a welcome change from BF3 etc and soooooooooo adictive.

I guess you\'ll always get differing opinions,
I haven\'t heard of \'Fallout\' \'Skyrim\' must have a look.

Border lands is rubbish, the story to the game is good but the actual gameplay is crap.
Have heard many things about skyrim, it got game of the year 2011 so it must be good, but 300 hours of gameplay is too much. I do have a life, and 12.5 days constant playing would be too much with no breaks. So that would take me a year to complete. I don\'t have the patience for that.
I got bored of GTA4 very quickly.
Personally i play Cod, but getting a bit bored of them now, they dont seem to change much game to game!
Far Cry 2 was awesome, i just loved the freedom of it, i.e not restricted to one set path, you can go where you want on a huge map to complete a mission, a bit repetitive but makes up for it in other areas.
Battlefield is supposed to be good, a grown up version of cod apparently, thats next on the list.
I like the look of Skyrim however! :)

Amen to those game choices, loved Borderlands, took a while to get used to the graphics but def one of my top 10 games, Fallout will take over your life and skyrim, well lets just say i\'ve heard that to complete it 100% you would need to play 4-5hrs per day for over a year.
For the xbox Batman Arkham Asylum is well worth a pun, you really have to plan your attacks as Batman, there a specific areas where you need to take down a group of enemies and remain unspotted, gets very tense.
Skyrim is awesome and the fact it\'s got over 300 hours of gameplay shouldn\'t put you off, it simply means its got a massive lifespan, just because it\'s so long doesn\'t mean your forced to play it for 12 hours a day!!
If you are into shooting games also look at UT3, if your rig can handle the graphics then its a fun choice :)
Couldn\'t really like RAGE all that much. Did finish it and its an old school game but after playing fallout 3 and Vagas where your decisions completely change the storeyline it felt very linear. Played fallout Vagas for about 40hrs and only really completed on one of the routes. Could play again a have a completely different storyline (multiple factions with different missions and crossovers)
Rage is a bit like Duke Nukem Foever, promises a lot but is still stuck in the past too much.
A proper oldschool shooter is Serious Sam 3:BFE

I\'ve played all the Fallout games from the begining! I did like rage the graphical style was quite cool to look at. I played it through twice and took more time the second time to find all the extras.
I\'ve also played all the Elder Scroll games too (Skyrim). That was good enough to warrant buying a second Radeon 5850 so I could add the hires textures plus other mods and play in 1080p.
Some of the PC mods for Skyrim are superb and really enhance the playability.
I\'ve been playing Skyrim this afternoon and it really is pretty damn good, the map is huge and I think it has a long lifespan, there is always something new to do.
dont know wether to get skyrim or not... got rage coming to me tomorrow hopefully, picking up arkham city aswell...

Skyrim for longevity
I was playing Arkham City but I got bored of the arcadey boss fights and it\'s a bit of a button masher too.
Still working my way through all the riddler Puzzles on Archam City. Massive game if you try to complete all the side missions. Need a 360 pad really because button combinations are mental !
Skyrim looks huge, although I haven\'t played it yet. Played alot of Fall Out : New Vagas.

Its similar to new vegas but twice as good, i\'ve played the first Arkham Asylum game and done all the main story, riddler quests etc. I only have the arcade stuff left to do, i\'ve got ARkham city but because of Skyrim i\'ve not played it yet!
