i undetrstand that with stock fuling it is ok to go non sequential as long as u keep the boost at 12psi maximum but i was just wonderign if you aint using the smaller turbo then will it not run very ritch from 1000 -3000 rpm??? will this cause any damage
running non seq, will mean both turbos are supplying boost at all rpm under load, you may run lean, I would defo use an aftermarket ECU running non sequential to be safe
i think I understood that :)
i was told that it will run ok on stock fuling as long as you keep the boost down waht is 12 psi in bar and waht is stock boost
Stock boost is 10 psi, anything more then this u will run lean without an aftermarket ECU.
Running 10psi non seq, what is the point!!!!!! you gain nothing besides losing the rats nest
PS 10 PSI = 0.69 BAR
Yonner, this is an un-safe guess. At least get it checked with a lambda sensor for safety.
Worst that will be needed is an aftermarket (adjustable) fuel pressure regulator and an uprated fuel pump.

the reason i want to go ns is to get rid off all the shite kiking about that is needed to shut the samler turbo of
this engin has 40k on it and is only gona run for a few moths cutting up back roads whilst we rebuild the original engin with proper performance the plan is
streetport
t04r
fmi
apexi pfc
cosmo fule pump
1300 sec injectors
850 prim
but now all we want is the car to get this engin out paint the bay black and put the other 1 in run about daft for a few moths but whilst its out we are going to put aloy rad in and doing the cosmetics new bumper thats about it :P we are puting the car in the spraybooth in winter aswell due to cheep jspec paint job
i jsut want to got ns so it is easy to get it all together
I thought both tubbies were the same size?
Iain
Yes both the tele tubbies are the same size. Someone likes confusing himself. ;)

i alwas thot there was a big 1 and a wee 1 thus making them spool fast like the small 1 kicks in then at 3k it cuts out and lets the bigger 1 take over some one wana explain sreqential turbos to me better than the guy who was sellign the first rx7 we went to see?
OK, this is as far as I know one the 3rd Gen.
At circa 3500 rpm, with boost greater than 6psi the solenoids start to work and open the actuator for the second turbo to come in to use. This should be fully up to steam by cira 4800-5000 rpm.
If the boost is not at that level the second turbo does NOT come in.

i realy shudnt understand waht u jsut said but strangly it makes sence :D ok so i get what you mean we are gona so ns but keep it at stock boost till winter when we shud be ready for "operation fook me thats fast" :D
