Title: A little help with import registration please
Post by: RobMatthews on January 11, 2012, 09:41:55 PM
just sold my 1994 fd3s and have a couple of questions on first registration from importing.

(First number refers to the number on the form)

11-type aproval do I just write +10yrs in there?
12/13/14 type/variant and version- says in the guides you take this from the certificate of conformanity? do these stay blank then?
15/22/34 length/width/wheelbase do these need to be filled in?
32-engine number- do you need to give this or leave blank? where is it i thought it\'s ment to be under the alt on the front iron?
41-stationary sound level? fill in or leave blank?

I\'ll get hold of the dvla tomorrow but if someone here regulaly goes through this help would be apreciated!

Cheers rob

11- \'Over 10 years old\'.
12/13/14- either leave blank or i usually add RX7 then Type R or whatever it is.
15/22/34 you can leave these black or add dimensions in mm\'s, if you need them give me a shout and i\'ll dig them out but they are not really needed.
32.  either leave blank or add 13b.
41. once again not needed so just leave blank.
Dave.
call if you need any help though :Thumbs-up

if you imported it then you should of filled out a C&E384 form to HRMC then they will send you a C&E386 to prove that duty has been paid upon import into country.
send this off with the reg docs.

Along with that you should have the Japanese de-reg document, then you\'ll need the MOT, insurance cert and you dollars :Thumbs-up

You wont be able to register the car without the C&E386 form.  Check that Ross doesn\'t have it otherwise you will have to apply for it again.

i\'d be more worried about the de-reg form.
if he not got ce386 then just need proof he paid duty, get a copy of it and then apply for ce384 to get ce386.
