Title: Japfest Accomdation
Post by: Lisa on January 10, 2012, 05:18:31 PM
Just to let people know attending Japfest if you are planning to stay at a hotel the night before, the nearest hotel is the Premier Inn at Cepen Park Chippenham.

http://www.premierinn.com/en/exploreSearch.action

I have just booked our room and they currently have 64 rooms still available.

Cost Is £71.00 per room per night. You can contact them on 0871 527 8244 Opt 3. You just need card details to hold the booking and then pay on arrival.

There is a very good Beefeater place alongside the hotel.

That\'s extortionate for a premier inn - I stayed at the one up the road last year for £29!!!

This year I have booked in at a small place, a few miles north east of the track, double room is £55 including full English breakfast - so I would suggest looking around a bit before you book ;)

Hi Marcus

Do you want to share the details?

Only an assumption , but guessing most hotels will know that it\'s jap fest that weekend, I doubt your will get much cheaper so close.

There is a travel lodge in Devizes with a subway if anyone wants to slum it, lol

Only 2years old , so shouldnt be that bad.  About 15 miles from Combe

Would be cool if we can all sort out the same place like we do with Cadwell. Can get a meal in night before :D

Sorry Lisa, I didn\'t have the details at hand - it\'s called the Cross ways or something, and they only had a handful of rooms available (it\'s only a small hotel)

I had a snout around the local area last year and found it ;)

How about this place?

Guyers House Hotel (http://www.guyershouse.com/)

Not as cheap as Cadwell at £70 (single) or £80 (double) p/night, including full English. It looks a better deal than Premier Inn, which is room only? 37 rooms, plus a bar and restaurant too. Restaurant might be pricey, but bar meals from £8.95, otherwise could eat nearby somewhere. Quite close to Castle Combe, about 6 miles by the back roads I reckon.

Hope this link to Tripadvisor works CLICK HERE (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g209966-d1449842-Reviews-Guyers_House_Hotel-Corsham_Wiltshire_England.html)

Very tempted.........any else got a view?

^^I\'ve just paid for a single room at the Guyers, £70 with Full English.

Used booking.com;LINK HERE (http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/guyers-house-conference-centre.en-gb.html?)

There\'s no cancellation charge, so if something else comes up I can easily cancel. Just wanted to get something sorted before I forgot.

Lisa - thanks for starting this thread, I hadn\'t got around to thinking about accommodation but needed to!

^^^ Chris; Guyers has 13 rooms left for the Friday night, but I\'ve just checked and there are none left for the Saturday night, so I guess you were looking at more than just the one night?
