Is it worth removing it? what can i gain from removing it?
Mite just need more gas no???
Also i have found by leaving it in there is a good reason, when you\'re stuff in traffic and the water temp starts to rise the air con being operated actually keeps the temp down!!! seriously tried it a few times and it does work.

Check that out mate, i asked the question a couple of weeks ago. Basically its a lot of effort for little gain, and you will probably regret it on a hot day....
cheers
Ok, cool.
I dont know what the problem is with it, ive never used it due to scary MPG already, but i turned it on yesterday, and it just keep spumping out the same old warm air.
probably needs recharged. If you get it done let me know how much it is. I got to get my done after my engine goes back in.
Yea most probably the gas needs refilling, but then again my old Escort Cosworth had a prob with the air con and couldn\'t sort it as there were big holes in the piping, fack knows how but there they were........... good job didn\'t get some gas:rollin
Get a local garage to have a look doesn\'t have to be a rx7 specialist as its just the air con that needs looking at.
should i be expecting a big bill for re-gassing?
Nah wont cost much chap .:) roughly £20 for the gas i believe, well it was for the Coz like.

Hi m8, where was that from???????? in Derby i guess?? The AA service centre wanted £75 for a refill :(
Also you\'ve got to make sure that you have the newer type gas 134a as the old stuff is now illegal. Think the old stuff is called 12a, you can tell which one your car has, as it should say on the underneath of the bonnet. I think after 94 the gas was changed to the newer stuff. If it is the older stuff, then you may have a big bill to change it over to the new stuff as the seals and valves may need changing, however i think some places will re-charge it with a similar but legal gas for less $$$$$:)

Paul
Hi Paul,
the £25 it cost me was for a refill , but the chap who supplied it works for Ford, and is a mate so ......................
Not sure how much it would cost otherwise??
