Gutted and elated at same time.....just sold my VX220 loved the car and fantastic on trackdays but no good for my back and ankle after a motorbike crash a couple of years back!......However some pennies in pot for Apexi ECU and a remap for rexy me thinks and some other bits and pieces to get here track ready for Japfest 2012...:driving.......
I am still holding on to my vx220 and fd. I cannot get myself to let go of either.
Its a vauxhall.. Good riddance... lol
I loved the car it didn\'t like me.....if i drove it for more than an hour my back basically ceased up! Awesome handling car i used on a few track days and 1 notably 720 spin at coombe when i thought i had totalled it. (got to get up very early to catch a spin in 1 in the wet, i was basically going backwards at 80 by the time i dial in correction that sent me onto the grass onto infield).
It\'s a car that draws attention everywhere and people gawp at you ! Mine was the lesser 2.2 would love a go in turbo !
What you got ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOQpV1NmYgE
Check this link for a vx220 spin in the wet!

It was my first European car after a very long line of Japanese cars and it showed in the build quality! I replaced many parts like indicator stalk that flashed main beam as you indicated and expansion bottle that leaked on the seam but all good fun....never let me down. Defo a weekend/track car in the dry round coombe 3rd/4th gear through the corners no body roll flat out lovely buzz.............the young guy that bought it was gonna use as a daily driver!!!!:2Confused His mate was convinced he\'d total it on way home!
could feel that boys pain when he crashed his car, so did the guy who bought your car crash it on the way home?
He texted me when he got home to say he loved the car to bits!!!......I showed him the you tube clip and told him to get it some respect in the wet!
I am in the middle of trying to get my drivers door open on my RX8 by taking door card off with door locked shut!.....what a complete sod! Following the instructions on RX8 forum. MOT tomorrow and its a FAIL if i cant get it fixed !
Just come into warm up have another read and a slurp of coffee.....seems common in the states but not over here.....no mention on this forum..absolute ball ache .....playin twister in rx8 with trim tool and screw drivers and foul language.....
i had a honda odessey in at work the other day with the same problem, had to take the drivers seat out, remove a lot of door pillar trim but doing that allowed me to get the trim off without breaking anything
i had my fd do something similair in the wet going in a straight line on a dueler but luckily i caught it in time
VX220 that brings back memory\'s :) i used to work for Vauxhall, when the Turbo first came out they took three to a track for a photo shoot / for some car mags to have a play with and all three came back on low loaders with damage varying from mud + grass stuck in wheels with floor a bit battered to needing both clams. I believe a good day was had by all :)
I had the pleasure of Driving all variants of the VX and a 2.2 that was Supercharged by Courtney which was fun :) but i don\'t think i could live with one for every day driving (look a tool getting in and out at tesco\'s)
Still doing this door.....got it open and spring broke so put another loop in it and good to go fix!.... but the window regulator spool exploded so wire everywhere.....my fingers are so cold !
Worst job i have done on a car in a long time!
Done it all back together!....What a nightmare Job i never want to do that again! Made worse by cold and dark its done MOT time tomorrow!
