I\'ve got some fiberglass arches that I haven\'t stuck on, they\'re not JUN, they\'re totally handmade from a shop up Colchester way. Will need fettling and/or trimming to your taste, but its an easy enough job, PM me if you\'re interested and i\'ll send over some pics.

i have arches on my car, it took me 3 years to find them and a crazy amout of money and time to get the car low enough to fit them, its a big ask to have overfenders on a fc, i bought the jun arches and many more like them and all a waste of money.   the prob is the kink that runs down the side of the car,

Ive specifically avoided all bodykits as they cost a lot of money to be able to fit properly, ive just gone with a wider rim that fits the stock body :) If you do need a bit of extra arch you can get the arches rolled, works fine on the rear, but due to where the swage line is on the front wings its hard to roll them without damaging them lol

so what ones did you go for flatout?

Yeah I can get some pics, looking at them, they can easily be fettled around the swage line. I\'ll grab a few pics and post them up.

I would go with Skifledanabit\'s arches due to the rounded nature of the FC making fitment difficult with ebay/JUN style arches if you are going to go with arches.

Right, those are the ones I\'ve got, thin enough to file away to fit the ridge of the line, but thick enough on the mounting points to be a solid fit.

There is a pic floating about of one with jun style arches, have you looked through the \'good looking FCs\' thread at the top of the 2nd gen page? It\'s a blue one if my memory serves me correct, if not someone might read this and remember the one in question and post a pic. I\'m sure I have a pic on my computer, but unfortunately that\'s in the uk.

I\'ve seen quite a few with JUN type arches but always on the rear only which I\'m not sure about. A fella had one on DW which got crashooed.

i cant see them fitting a fc, i am near 100% sure they are a copy of the first arches i had,i bought them on driftworks a few years back,

Yeah, they don\'t directly fit, but there\'s not very many body modifications that will, did say from the start they would need fettling.

I understand, its all about just how much work is needed, something I dont have the skill or money to do, nor the stance, lol.

weak ET is my excuse! But one day, I\'d love to be able to warrant fender flares, I just love the look.

skifledanabit... any chance if your not too busy you could get a pic of them up against the arches... one rear one front... just held against to give me an idea... what you asking for em ?
is the general feeling that these will go on without major works?

No problems, will get it tomorrow, I\'ll be looking for about £100 for them, or swaps for cool bits.

Ideally like a rocket bunny ducktail spoiler from an S13 or something

I\'m trying to see if an S13 rocket bunny one can be made to fit, also got a metal worker working on another lip type spoiler for me. Will keep people updated.

Also, my apologies on not getting those pictures, been a busy boy today, will definitely get them tomorrow.

dont worry dude take ur time... gonna be a long project.... magic21 on DW makes ducktail spoilers... for the s13 i think but dont think theres much difference... nothing worth worrying about anyway, theres not a great physical difference from memeory from my s13 and the fc

Wow, forgot how hard it was to take photos that get any detail in black cars, but here you are;

Rear arch, Top of flare level with swage line
(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Skifledanabit/02c86c5a.jpg)

Bottom of flare level with arch
(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Skifledanabit/c9559dfd.jpg)

Gap between top of flare and body when level with arch

Front arch, level with swage line

Level with arch

Gap between body
(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Skifledanabit/97f1a023.jpg)

They are pretty flexible too so I shouldn\'t think there\'d be too much work to get them to fit

Sorry about the crap photos, hard to take good ones with arm at full extension lol

I\'ve got 25mm on my 747\'s, they push the wheels out to the arches nicely, so your wheels will probably only need those to fit well.

Post by: rising son on January 10, 2012, 02:34:05 PM
my wheels stick out from the bodywork without the use of spacers, not enough to merit those arches, did think about using hubcentrics to pull them out further  but its the thinner arches i was looking for, not the chunky ones.. magicaero sell them, plus after seeing the pics you put up there is no way of fitting without cutting the my arches and i dont want to do that with this car as they are far too good... perfect infact

Post by: billybobbooth on January 17, 2012, 09:15:37 PM
Im just going to get a wide front wings and rear then cut the rear arches out and put a new plate in that sit higher up to avoid wheel scrub then seal and pop rivet the rear arch on incase i need to remove later on for replacement and to get that race look. ( all undersealed behind the new rear arch.)

You could always try going Gundam style with huge overhanging arches, like thus:

Unless you put a lot of time and effort in you won\'t get those JUN style arches looking good. I remember the car that flatouts arches came from being incredibly low (the exhuast was like an inch or so off the ground) with some absolutely badass wheels on it, but for some reason it looked silly high.

Tbh a stock bodied FC with wide front arches and rear over fenders is the way to go tbh. Extremely subtle, clean and at the same time mean :D

heres the car

Yeah I like the bn style fronts you can get from epr, might need them if I decide to use rear  starion rims on the front as well. Let us know what path you chose and how you get on mate.
