As title has anyone had or got a RAC trackstar as I been thinking of getting a tracker fitted to my FD.
Why bother? Unless it\'s fitted by a decent fitter it\'ll just be shoved under the centre consul or in the boot where it\'s easy to fit and even easier for thieves to find :xconfused
Most insurance companies offer very little or no discount for trackers and lastly if some little barsteward had been ragging my car to death over kerbs etc i\'d rather it be burned than get it back.............just my opinion though :Thumbs-up
You\'d be better off with a decent alarm and a visual such as a removeable steering wheel or a disc lock that covers the entire steering wheel.
Dave.
I was planning on fitting one of these:

although my car has a pretty good alarm plus im planning on fitting a removable steering wheel :) also the fact that its an OEM looking 20 year old car, its not really very tempting!
What I might also do is to do what is usually done in classic minis (really rubbish security) is to simply attach a toggle switch to the battery live under the dash somewhere, so the thief can smash up the ignition barrel, but its not going to start anything as the ignition isn\'t powered until you flip the switch :)
