For whats its worth, Ive leather 2005 mx5 seats put into my fd. Seats cost me £100, and needed no more than 15 notes in 5mm steel to make couple of brackets and for the welding to fit the fd rails. Glad I done it, as cheapest quote I got to leather recover my fd cloth seats was £500-550. Mx5 seats even similiar shape to original fd seats, so even looks original and matches the leather back bench very well. (Only my opinion though!) :)
