P.S the guy said there is 1 fault with the car and that is that the heater blowers have just stopped working... is this acceptable or is this a sign of other things ? sorry if this sounds daft

Welcome on board ! :cheers

Probably a dead \'Power transistor\' (located on the blower motor) or a bad connection in the logicon which is the heating controls bit in the dash. FC\'s are known for bad solder joints in differrent areas - although to be fair the UK / JAP cars seem far less prone than the US cars...

You got any pics of the car ?

thanks for the welcome folks... only have the 1 pic so far, been too busy trying to learn as much as possible about the cars, the cars abit of a time warp bodywise to be honest, its very clean and underneath is immaculate, engine seems fine... i think... no idea on these cars really, 1 thing is its running a little rich... dont know if these do run a little rich or not?, it does have a full stainless and decat amoungst a few other mods, seems to spit rather huge flames now and again... ive had 1 near brown trouser moment tonight when i was accelerating and got to about 6.5k and it seemed like the car hit fuel cut? but its still running great, should mention the car was pretty low on fuel (light was on) hopefully something to do with it, anyway heres the pic and hope you like
anybody know it?

Low fuel will probably sucked a bit of gunk out of the tank.

Better to have the car on the rich side rather than the lean side of things. But not too rich though as that can also cause problems. But huge flames every now and then are good! Lmao.

yea that my views mate, better a little rich... wont do any harm i supose . anybody tell me what the standard bhp figure is of an fc turbo II ?

standard they are around 200bhp - with a fully decat exhaust that will go up to about 220bhp - intake mods and an ecu change / chipped ecu will see you in the high 200\'s ;)

If you want 300+ then fuelling mods are required for sure - but rewiring the pump or changing isn\'t a bad idea on a car of this age.  Have a read of some of the project builds - there\'s quite a few of us 2nd genner\'s getting good figures now. :cheers

That\'s a nice looking vert you have there - very clean.

cheers prof, yea she has a fully decated system (bloody loud), decent intake, boost control and apparently a "stage 1" chip... seems to go ok, fan looks as if its been retro fitted aswell, need a few things such as stereo as it has nothing, and a nsr light unit but apart from that all good,.... away to read up on the build threads ;)
