Title: Re-coating Alloys
Post by: tailz on June 28, 2004, 07:03:14 PM
Howdy,

Anyone got any contacts for re-painting/dipping alloys?

I have some white alloys that have seen better days and I wanted to slip some new rubber on them, paint the calipers and re-paint or dip the alloys white again.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Spit and Polish (Off M25) are very good but dont touch Split Rims, Pristine (milton Keynes) are excellent but expensive, wheelrefurbishing.co.uk (London) are meant to be good and do everything.  All online if you have a search.  :)

another recomendation:
QuoteGot a place over by me mt8. A mates dad works for a firm that makes alloys. £20 a wheel or its an extra £5 if they have to be dipped to remove old paint. Did mine 12 months ago and did A1 job. Mine where Ruff as hell, curbed etc. If you dont want to travel all the way over to Telford, would meet u halfway if you wanted .Have enclosed a pic of mine after refurb. This mates dad actualy works at a place that makes alloys, so he know what he doing.

This is my mates Number 07973297171. His name is Nick Forester. Tell him you have spoken to me. Steve Davies about having your wheels refurbed.

                        Hope it helps..

                           Cheers Steve.

Cheers folks - what a helpful bunch you are!

I found somewhere on a local industrial estate who are just round the corner from where I am getting my rubber from, so I will try there first. If it\'s a no-go, I may take you up on the offer - thanks Steve!
